Think we'll go back in for Matt O'Riley at Celtic. Him, Hamer, KDH, Adem Zorgane and a more defensively minded midfielder would be a nice pool to pick from.

Not sure O’Riley will swap Celtic for Championship football, but would definitely take him here.

Think his next move is one to the Premier League, but then he’s in the same bracket as Alex Scott, Gus Hamer, James McAtee, Tommy Doyle etc., and not all of them will end up being picked up by Premier League clubs so their might be one or two players of that calibre available to the top end of the Championship next season.

Ollie Norwood on a free if Sheff United get rid. Keep hearing these daft suggestions such as Elanga on loan. Players like that don’t get you promoted. People forget it was the likes of Kevin Phillips, Dean Hammond and GTF in the squad that got us promoted last time.

Players like that i.e. young loanees from big Premier League clubs certainly helped Burnley and Sheff Utd get promoted

Many of our championship nemesis when we were last down there ended up going on to have good top flight careers. I feel this most recent cycle for us will do the same thing and they’ll all be at the big six coming out on loan.

Remember absolutely fearing players like Lallana, Deeney, Whittingham, Vydra. I want to be the team who strike that level of fear into others

Don’t know much about him but if he’s from the Arsenal youth squad and been in their matchday squads then i’m sure he’s class.

It shows this build could be done affordably.

If we kept Souttar and Faes, and say signed this guy, Jake Cooper on a free and in terms of fees, punt for Ronnie Edwards from Peterborough, I think that’d be a good range of centre backs for the Championship.

id try and sign them both tbf, and Tuanzebe, all under 26yrs old

2 on a free

could be decent business imo

Tuanzebe on a free just seems a no brainer.

Would like to see us in for Ilias Chair from QPR too. Obvious talent but he will hate playing for Ainsworth next year. The creativity we are crying out for.

If the £10m for Elanga is true, he’s got to be worth a punt, can’t say I’m a huge fan, but you simply don’t have nearly 40 PL games for Man Utd if you’re talentless.

Also, Ashley Young on a free is a must, him and Kristiansen can be rotated, don’t care if he’s 45, he’s still class

Depending what wages be like Ashley Young is being released by Villa. 38 I know put maybe worth ago for his experience at left back for a season.

Ain't this the kind of shit that got us signing Bertrand?

Ryan Smith.

I don’t think we need experienced signings - Evans, Albrighton and Vardy should be kept around to provide that then the rest can be built for the future.

Maybe an experienced head as back up in the middle of the park at a push but that’s it.

We don’t need Young when we’ll have two of the most promising left-backs in the Championship next season.

Smith Rowe on loan

You laugh, but I was talking to an Arsenal fan yesterday (proper fan too, he has a ST)… and he actually suggested this…. think Ramsay at Cardiff he keeps getting injuries and it’s disrupting his game time. It’s one of those signings that you could pull off because of who you are.

We do need to consider Patino, he would be a decent signing for the championship, and he’s got a future.

Would 100% take Patino here, if he's up for grabs. Looks a classy player.

Really, really hope we focus on building a young, hungry squad with high potential and high resale value.

Elanga from Man United for 10m is a bargain if that reported fee is accurate.

Been ages since we had a direct winger who could actually take people on one-on-one

Souttar

Faes

Kristiansen

Gustavo Hamer

Dewsbury-Hall

People might laugh but I’d take Olivier Ntcham from Swansea. 27 years old and his stats from last season look impressive!
