He’ll be delighted he didn’t sign a contract at Leicester 2 years ago given the utter shambles we’ve become. He’s now be stuck on a long term contract getting ready to play Coventry City on a Tuesday night while we demanded a fortune for him.

He’s done the right thing in getting off this sinking ship. Probably saw what was coming

He was one of those drilling holes in the hull, if Tielemans had been below average this season rather than diabolical we'd have got those two extra points to stay up.

Those who allowed this to happen on a free transfer should hang their heads in shame, outrageous.

Get used to it - you will see more of it in the game. Are liverpool fans spitting blood because Firmino has left on a free? Or are they just accepting its part of the modern game.

Also, if anything the move to Villa highlights why we couldn't get a transfer fee for him. The big clubs didn't want him.

The guy honestly thought he was UCL quality.

He is at his best no question but we haven't seen that player for a long long time.

That makes no sense. He would have got some sort of a move anyway. All its done is highlight the poor attitude he has had over the last few season, which in turn has led to the big clubs realising he wasnt worth the risk and the money. All in all its a pretty naff move for him and if he had acquitted himself better he would have likely fared better.

Good luck Youri, but lay off the waffles mate.

What part of the fact he didn’t want to sign a new contract at a club that’s skint and going backwards are you not getting? Why on earth would he tie himself to a new deal at a club he doesn’t want to be at and then subsequently lose any power he has to get a move? We all know Leicester would have held out for a ridiculous fee had he done so.

He's history now, and I wish him all the best at his new club. At least we no longer have fork out X million salary a year for diminishing returns. Unless we have a rapid return to the PL we will also be spared a Youri screamer leaving Iverson for dead. Time to move on.

Can see clubs eventually using a 2 year term with an option for 2 more years kinda deal so that lazy players can be shunted out early, a player that has basically downed tools is just going to be stinking out the squad.

He was a big part of helping to sink the ship!! He hasn't gone to a club that is better than we were, at the point we offered him a new contract, so he hasn't bettered himself career wise, he's stayed at the same level at best. If he had put the effort in, to keep himself properly fit, kept off the chips and burgers, and kept his focus, he had the ability to play for a champions league club. Sadly for him and for us, he didn't, and we got relegated and he got a move to Villa, not a top club.

Personally I hope that he ends up regretting the move. That’s purely because I want Leicester to get back to where they were as soon as possible and back above his new team Villa. If he doesn’t regret his move in the next four years that means we’ll still be failing as a club and below teams like Villa rather than competing and achieving more than them.

We’ve been trying to get him to sign a new contract since the Fa cup win. He didn’t not sign a new contract with us 2 years because he was holding out for a move to Aston Villa

Bit surprised he didn’t wait a bit longer to weigh up his options but like people have said before if he didn’t want to have to live family it’s probably about the best he can do.

Last time he weighed up his options the scales said... 'quick, get off you fat c**t!!' 😂

Who cares. He wasn’t good enough for us last year when we needed him. Never looked fit enough. At least he’s off the wage bill, hopefully make room for someone who wants to be at the club.

Let’s be honest he would have uprooted his family in a heartbeat if Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool etc had made a bid for him.

He’s settled for Aston Villa as that’s the best offer he’s had, not because he doesn’t want to leave Quorn.

He left the Côte d’Azur for the East Midlands, he’s not set on the Apple Tree

We got Albrighton for free from them and won the EPL...... we're just returning the favor

He ain't winning the EPL with them though. Between 10th and 7th most likely for Youri at Villa.
