Here’s the thing. With the way the league will look to set up against us, Kel is better suited to playing against a team that play with a low block than Vardy and Daka are. They will camp when they come to the King Power. It’s vital we keep Kel, especially with Barnes on the verge of leaving now. We can make money with other assets that we have that aren’t as important/valuable to us than he is.

The dude has a year left. The club will sell if they get a reasonable offer

Letting players set the agenda on contracts is a dreadful self defeating way to operate, as we surely all recognise by now. This ‘lovely boy’ mentality can get it in the bin, we need to be pragmatic and not play the lottery and hope the promotion ball lands on us. If the sale of Kel  means we can sign Giles on a longer contract, develop the guy, and he becomes an appreciating asset, not a guy who does not want to be here.

With his goals we could get promotion which would make the 10m we'd allegedly get for him look like peanuts.

The thing about kel is his unpredictability- he could be a huge disappointment as much as he could notch 25 G+A

It's genuinely gutting that Maresca is playing madivaduda in the starting XI over iheanacho in the pre season friendlies.

Not only does is mean we're trying to force a good player out but it also potentially indicates Maresca isnt all he is being hyped up to be if he prefers inferior players.

Or that left wing spot needs to be someone direct with pace.

Something that nacho frankly isn't.

His control is unpredictable admittedly at times but his habit of scoring goals in relation to minutes on the pitch isn't really. His scoring record is really quite predictable.

Or that there are negotiations going in behind the scenes for Iheanacho and he doesn't want to waste time with a player who likely isn't going to be here in a couple of weeks?

No manager in his entire time here has been keen, there’s obviously a reason why and he’s not just hard done by every time

Do you really believe that strongly in the judgement of Shakespeare, Puel and Rodgers?

Iheanacho's goal contribution numbers for us our exceptional and he carried us to an FA cup final. I dont get why people feel like he still has something to prove in a leicester shirt.

I think he has one position which is number 10 behind a main striker. But no manager trusts him there defensively and he can’t be coached. And all this playing him as a number 9 or off the right is just a waste of time, he doesn’t contribute in those positions and looks even more awkward than normal.

I just don’t think he’s someone a manager can trust.

With Maddison gone, Barnes gone, Tielemans gone, Vardy not what he once was, Daka not what he could be, I'm seriously starting to wonder where the goals are going to come from.

Iheanacho's goals and assists will be so valuable this season, we surely need to keep him?  If he goes, I just don't see us scoring enough.

Iheanacho is a proven goal scorer.  Any replacement will be a gamble.  Please keep.

Yep right now there is zero assist attacking quality in the team. Has to be addressed asap

I think you are bang on. The club would be very foolish not to sell with a year on his deal.

I think people are massively under estimating Vardy (or over estimating his decline.)

People need to stop getting hung up on his age. His turn of pace is still quite impressive over the first few yards and his movement and speed of thought are going to be far too much for defenders at this level.

Do I wish we'd future proof ourselves a bit and try and build Daka's confidence up now and let him really make himself this year? Yes. But do I also think Vardy is the best man to be starting for us when the ship needs steadying? Also yes.

People can't seriously think his finishing has gone just because he's had a bad year. He's always been more of a confidence player than he lets on and he's always had the odd dry patch when he needs a bit of a pick me up.

If Maresca is coming in and putting complete confidence in him he and we will be fine I'm sure.

We absolutely need some more goals from midfield and the flanks sure but I'm also not worried.

I thought he looked much improved under Smith to be honest. The Leeds goal a great example, and that is arguably our most difficult fixture next season.

I’m worried because I reckon every single Championship opponent will nullify Vardy and our wider team by parking the bus and hoping to survive a point.
