ian__marshall Posted 21 July 2023 Posted 21 July 2023 I'd be surprised if he ends up at Everton. Surely they have no capacity for the size of fee we'd expect nor the headroom in terms of wage bill to accommodate him (especially as his wage demands won't small) given the pending sanctions hanging over them. 1

Probably the opposite, they are the unflushable turd so this time next year, I’m sure they’ll be looking forward to another season in the Premier League.

STUHILL Posted 21 July 2023 Posted 21 July 2023 Shame if Everton for £10m is true. I wanted Iheanacho to finally be given the starting spot for the whole season. I think he would score a load for us in the Championship and would be worth more to us in terms of goals and contributing to our promotion push, than the £10million we will get now. I just hope Enzo doesn't believe Vardy should be leading the line for the season, as I think even the most optimistic of fans have seen his decline over the past season or so. Hopefully, we have a starting striker or two coming in. 2
StanSP Posted 21 July 2023 Posted 21 July 2023 Bargain for Everton. They have money, they just need to be much more shrewd with it. Iheanacho will get goals for them, especially if partnered with Calvert-Lewin. Big loss for us. Huge chunk of our goals from last season pretty much gone from the team
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 21 July 2023 Posted 21 July 2023 £10m for Kel would be great business for any buying club. Incredibly poor from us again - not that we had any choice.

Everton in yet another demoralising dog fight playing Dyche ball. 1
Popular Post 87fox Posted 21 July 2023 Popular Post Posted 21 July 2023 More gutted about this sale than Barnes or Maddison £10m just doesn't feel anywhere near enough to justify him leaving 6

I agree. £10-£15m (maybe £10m + £2.5m addons if they stay up) feels about right. Big wages gone too. Edited 21 July 2023 by kingpower
RowlattsFox Posted 21 July 2023 Posted 21 July 2023 Interesting to see how he gets on with a Dyche type manager, could really motivate him or its going to be a completely unsuitable player for his system. 1

Tuna Posted 21 July 2023 Posted 21 July 2023 Would be really disappointed if he was sold however I think the issue is does he fit in with Enzo's style of play? No point keeping him if he isn't going to fit the system.

Considering his value to us in terms of goals, it is a bargain. Everton probably laughing it's so cheap, even with 1 year left. 11 minutes ago, Chelmofox said: Can't get my head around it will be just the same for him. Dyche would often play with a target man and finisher at Burnley. Not even sure he had that 'luxury' last season of both types of player at Everton.
LVFox Posted 21 July 2023 Posted 21 July 2023 I actually think he would do well at Everton. Good backup for DCL but also an option to play both together in a Dyche 4-4-2.
