Iheanacho’s second touch is usually a tackle

Either that or it’s like the ball is glued to his feet.

You never know what you’re going to get with him.

Are you suggesting that there might be a flaw in KPFC's business model?

As I said mate, it's what I have heard on here previously, not what I know.  100% hope it's wrong BTW.

I wonder if he is given 10 consecutive starts, whether that first touch would sharpen up. I'd still like to see him given that opportunity with us. Start each game behind the main striker and have a Manager that has full faith in him.

We have not received any parachute payments because they will only start to be paid at the end of this coming season if we fail to get promotion. If we get promoted, we won’t receive a penny in parachute payments, so there will be no question of them being used to pay back any loans.

Thanks mate that's sounds better if we get promoted....

Would be quite sad to see him go. We spent a pretty penny on him and we've got a lot to thank him for - FA Cup run, goals in Europe, the community shield.

I'd prefer if he stayed but the lad deserves to be somewhere that uses him. Sure, he's got a dodgy game in him but fuching Romelu Lukaku is worse and is considered good enough for Chelsea, Man United and Inter.

How many Vardys have we found? KI was more than 10. He has been mismanaged IMO. He is a natural goalscorer. He has a year left so the choice is sell and then take the risk of replacing him or keep him. I am sure if he is played every week he would get double figures in goals and assists. We need goals to get up and unless you can guarantee his replacement can contribute more then I would keep him.

I want to agree but kind of don't. 5 or 6 years to achieve something is long enough. Never happened for him here as yet, and I'm not convinced it will. Whatever league we are playing in. Like I said, the fact he worth no more now than when he was a kid coming to us, tells you everything you need to know about his progress. There has been none. We looked for silver linings in a bag of shite, and nacho is the best we came up with. Sorry.

He was behind Vardy. That was almost impossible to get in the team in front of him. When he first came he looked lazy and disinterested. He has scored some very important goals and if he had a run in the team I am convinced there is a player in there. As a business decision there is risk in getting rid and then replacing him. He should be our 10 as he has the ability to see the pass and play it.

He is a good poacher , but he has let himself down with very poor ball control, we need a centre forward who can hold the ball up and bring the midfield players into play

Let's not forget that Kelechi is in the last year of his contract & making 60 large a week. For me it makes sense for him and the club that he moves on.     He needs a manager who believes in him and plays him every week & Dyche could be that manager.

I wish him well ..

We need change - Our attack at times is appalling and non existent. We have been bleed dry by players on huge contracts, who have let us down very badly. Clear out the dead wood it’s rotten, get Piroe for a start he’s at least trusted at this level.

As a business decision its no decision at all. He's an asset that will depreciate to zero in a years time. So if selling him now funds a replacement in Piroe who due to his current contract status means he's also going for less than market value and so at worst is going to retain that value in a years time, then from a business perspective its obvious you sell.

If I was a betting man I would be putting money on Bilal Toure going Atalanta, Kel going Everton and us getting Piroe. Dominoes waiting to fall.

Have you put a bet on this?

Actually one of the stronger parts of his game.

I’ve posted this before

you receive payments through the season and a final settlement payment after the season is over.  We will have recently received our final payment for the season just ended

I have no idea when the parachute payment is made but we will definitely receive our year 1 para payment approx £55/60m for this coming season irrespective of promotion or not.

if we are successful in going back up then  we will be paid for season 24/25 as we would expect to throughout the season and with a final payment in July 2025

Thanks for clarifying. It makes more sense that we would get parachute payments for this season even if we get promoted as we'd have spent a season in the Championship. Obviously they'd then cease if we went back up.

More generally I think some people have misunderstood what it means to have parachute payments as security on a loan. It does not mean that the bank will automatically grab all that money from us; it just means that they can access it if we're unable to to meet our repayments. We don't even know what our annual loan repayments to Macquarie are, let alone whether we're able to meet them or not.

I'd be very concerned if we let another quality player go. We need players with a point of difference if we're going to get out of this division.

Nacho is frustrating as hell but he'll get more chances in the Championship and I think he could cause teams all sorts of problems.

Why?

Because he goes for free at the end of season and I do not believe he has the mettle or consistency to fire us to promotion, but its opinions isn't it   :dunno:

Because his contract will run out duh.

But given how little we stand to get for him now, wouldn't it be worth keeping him for a year even if his contract runs out at the end of it? If we stood to get £25m if we sold him now, I'd agree with you. But not for the poxy amounts being quoted.
