Does he genuinely think he's above that level at present? He's always been deluded about his ability. A pretty average midfielder at best, though he did have a good long pass in his game. Popular Post Lambert09 Posted 14 July 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 14 July 2023 I’m surprised so many people have such a bitter tone towards another title winner. He wanted to go to chelsea, he did. Not the huge drama people are making it out to be. We don’t need him it’s as simple as that. But there’s no need to get upset that someone is still fond of us and would love to come back. He’s off his rocker but i personally wish the best for him. He wasn’t “average” as he’s been labeled in here, for the most part he was superb. What leicester fan can label a title winner as average. Ridiculous.

ARM1968 Posted 14 July 2023 Share Posted 14 July 2023 The lads had his problems. I hope he’s over them. Great for us in the League winning season. Leave it there. Not a player we need.
Lesta2014 Posted 14 July 2023 Share Posted 14 July 2023 Says he doesn’t need money! Offer him pay as you play and see if he sticks to that. Give him a large win bonus per game too! Loved him here first time around and gutted the way he left first time around.
Popular Post tomtom Posted 14 July 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 14 July 2023 Jesus Christ our fans are an embarrassment 🤦 He is a club legend for what he helped us achieve, a good but not incredible player who left on "reasonably good terms" for us ... he had a problematic injury the club knew about and we got a great fee for him. Good luck to you Danny in whatever you do next

Yet Drinkwater moves onto a club to try and win more and gets laughed at because it went wrong. I'm sure we'd all take the chance of moving on to a better job if it meant more success and more money. It's tough to see players drop off the clip. See Dele Alli's interview recently. Our title winning team gave us something we all thought would never happen. I wish the players who contributed to it were treated better by our fans, regardless of how they left the club. VLC86 Posted 14 July 2023 Share Posted 14 July 2023 As others have said, no harm in having him come and prove himself for a month. That said, I find it ridiculously cringy that he is basically begging for us to re sign him.

Holy **** I had no idea he was 33. Here's me chatting thinking he was still in his twenties 😂. Then for me it is an absolute no. I wouldn't want to hinder a younger players game time to fit Drinkwater back in

Drinkwaters been involved in numerous off field skirmishes, hes the definition of a thug 😂. The driving down to Chelseas training ground and handing in a transfer request on deadline day to leave us in the shit will always leave a sour taste unfortunatley. As well as all his off field general bellend behaviour
HybridFox Posted 14 July 2023 Share Posted 14 July 2023 Really painful to see him like that but we need a sense of realism here. The Club could definitely support him in a non-playing capacity. But there's no way we can talk of a reset and simultaneously consider this
