Even before his injury, there were a few goals that should never have got past him but they were often overlooked because of a couple of good saves before it.

Still think he'll be a top keeper at the highest level, but there's many better in the top leagues right now.

£25m to Brentford is honestly about his level right now.

He's got potential to go to the very top but needs to work on a few areas first. There's a good chance in 2 or 3 seasons he goes for double that.

He’s obviously a good keeper but this is a situation where I think we can sell and not really feel a huge difference. Jakub is without doubt number 1. Don’t care where he goes as long as we get the money, 25 million is fair.

Other than Ward obviously, our recent record of recruiting/producing keepers is decent.

It's obvious we can make a bit of money there and use it to strengthen elsewhere. Well, obvious if you're competent at running a football club that is, which isn't a given!

Most saves in the league and the 5th highest save percentage at 74%
Mads wouldn’t be signed as a guaranteed number 1 there

Quite a lot of the time, keepers playing at the bottom of the league can look decent as they face a hell of a lot of shots so get

to make some quite eye catching saves (Conrad Logans MOTM performance away at Pompey under Sousa springs to mind).

But when you’re a fan and you watch every second of every game, you can really be better placed to make a judgement than the stats can show.

He is a good keeper, there’s no doubt about it but is he irreplaceable?  Would we be hugely worse off if Jakub became number 1 and another youth team keeper came up as number 2?

I’ve seen enough of Jakub to be completely comfortable with Mads moving on and if we got £25m for him, i’ll be honest, i’d be a bit surprised.

I think more importantly and you’ve touched on it, should Mads leave which unfortunately I think he’ll end up at Chelsea, it’s a position we’ve not got to worry about filling because Stolarczyk has shown he’s capable enough in the Prem.

I’d be disappointed if he went for less than £20m but on the same page it’s reasonable enough to think he could go for a bit more.

We only got £30m for Harvey Barnes, a goalscoring winger. So I don't see any way we get more than £20m for Hermansen.

That’s more down to our clown shoe DoF than market conditions generally

That was the Brentford keepers stats by the way

Think people have short memories Mads is a top keeper and will get better. He’s been playing with an injury and probably shouldn’t have been. £20 million plus will be about right for him.

Didn't we lose that 6-1?

We still have that same DoF. And as with 2 years ago we have backed ourselves into the exact same terrible negotiating position due to relegation - where potential buyers know you have to sell.

Perhaps the fact we're going to lose Iversen and Ward  for nowt at the end of the season does us a favour when it comes to a fee for Mads as we're effectively down to 1 keeper if we sell.

Brentford is not paying 20 million for a keeper. And unfortunately Brentford is the level of club that might be interested in Mads, not the sort of club that would pay that.

Sorry, I don't quite follow this logic. Why would other clubs (potential buyers) care how many keepers we have? It's not their problem.

Of our better first team players(Which isn’t many), losing Hermansen this summer has felt inevitable for a while.

It’s far easier to come to terms with his departure compared with others over the years.

Signed for £6.5 million, will probably be sold for £20-30 million, good business.

We have Stolarczyk waiting in the wings, while if we wanted another keeper, signing someone on a free transfer or in the price range we signed Hermansen, that’s the sort of transfer business you’d be content with.
