Given the clubs competing with us for him, surely we have to be his best option?

Interesting

players go on loan and it can unsettle them

if this kid comes here, has a great season and we bounce back then we are able to try and get him out of palace over the next few windows.

that won’t happen at Ipswich, Birmingham or Blackburn because even if they went up, they aren’t a more attractive option than palace. We could be though.

whilst he may want to come here, palace may not be so keen

Can't be often that players go on loan from a PL club to the lower leagues and end up training with better facilities than they're used to...

This argument would make more sense if, particularly in the first half, Mavididi wasn't also frequently in absolute square miles of space.

Our wide players both look like they're instructed to stretch the play, get right to the touch line and as far forward as possible to receive those big diagonals once the opposition have been drawn in trying to win the ball back from our passing triangles on the other side.

Mavididi was free absolutely loads in the first half much the same way.

Also Coventry play with a very narrow formation that leaves them exposed out wide, I think this is why we did less through the middle with winks and rico and more of the diagonal balls out to the wingers.

I'm looking forward to see him given a go.

Excited to give Rak Sak a crack.

Then he'll be on his way 'Bak'

If he is loaned to anyone else in the championship then it’s clear to me that our interest wasn’t concrete enough and we must have other priorities.

...somewhere in this thread, there is confirmation that he had been to Seagrave!!!

If it was not a concrete interest then he would not have been here. We have to just hope this falls on to ourside.

Speaking to a Charlton fan on the train home on Saturday and he said this kid is the real deal.

Wasn't it just some dubious source on twitter that posted he had been at Seagrave?

Palace want Iversen apparently. Wonder if we can work a deal out?

You're right. Interesting.

If Rudders has any sense, he'll use this to our advantage.

*didn't see this in the other thread!
