Seems Enzo has clocked how to use him fairly quickly, and Rodgers never could for some reason.

I think we are foolish to write off anyone who couldn’t perform under rodgers.

He has been impressive for us but today genuinely did everything right.

Absolutely, have always been slow to slag off Jannik but recognise he is easy to hate on.

For all of Vestergaard’s improvement in form, if we are to play a CB two, it’d still be Faes and Coady for me all day long.

Credit where credit’s due, he was very good tonight. These types of games suit him, when the opposition team has the ball and try to break through us. He reads the game well and has good positioning. I think before this game his best game was hids debut vs Man city who ofc play a similar style. I think the worry is when the opposition plays on the counter where he struggles massively. For this reason, ai would still put coady in vs Norwich if hes match fit

Not for the first time this season best defender on the pitch (been saying it before it was 'cool')

Plenty of humble pie to be tucked into tonight for a few on the forum. If he had made the mistake Doyle made for the goal people would demand his head on a spike.

Pleased for him tbh. Somewhat making some of that fee worthwhile. Every manager has one of those players they just seem to rate. And Vesty will be in the team more often than not I reckon

If it doesn't work out for Conner we have this option.

Fair play to him.

I don't like him. But credit where it's due. He was tidy tonight. And he is very good at picking a pass.

I loathe the great lump. I also think he has been average to poor most of this season.

But not tonight. Tonight he was good. I hope this is the standard he sets going forward.
