thought we looked a lot better with vardy on. His runs created space

think thats because they were pushing forward, i think we'd have done better if we'd have been more positive earlier as there was bags of space, we just lacked that quality in the final third, but guess they'd say the same

Faes was the best player on the pitch by a mile, I'd be worried if there were scouts watching him today cus he looked way too good for this league. Not been massively impressed with Doyle these first 3 games, his distribution looks surprisingly poor. Still baffled by JJ's continuing absence, he'd seem a perfect fit for this system. Alot of work still to be done in the transfer market but we've had a kind fixture list to start with and it's to be hoped the squad is in a better place when the tougher games start in September

Interesting you say that about Doyle as plenty of chat on RL has been very complimentary about him

I was thinking the same. He's really brilliant when he can be bothered.

Nacho also kept dropping back into midfield to get involved but he would just send it back poorly or lose possession. He had one of those games where he was all wax no wick. Really want him to score.

I'm sorry the Premier League is bang average, certainly the bottom half, it was last season (And we got relegated!!) and even more so this season, i'd go as far as saying the Championship is tougher.

(I said this the other week i'm sure this'll come across to some people as still being bitter about our relegation but I said it even when we were in the Premier League - i'm not, i'm quite enjoying the Championship and being out of the PL again and it's not just down to winning games, I said the other week even we were winning and somewhat successful under Rodgers I didn't really, truthfully enjoy it)

I fully agree with @Foxin_Mad

Fully agree on enjoying the Championship and having what is (hopefully) a break from the PL…something refreshing about it.

I can’t agree with your first point though. Based on what I’ve seen so far this league is miles below the standard of the bottom half of the PL. Certainly last year anyway.

Game of opinions I guess but I think he's looked quite clumsy on the ball. I also thought Warnock targeted him in the air today and he didn't win too many headers. Still early days though

Doyle has been fine, especially defensively. Couple of sloppy passes today put us in trouble.

I enjoyed lots of elements of the first 2 games and you can really see what Enzo is trying to do and how good it could be with the right players. But today was a largely dreadful spectacle, to be honest. I'm obviously happy we won but we saw very few sharp passing moves and we are simply not creating enough chances/ taking enough shots given all the possession we have. We are so desperate for a creative number 8 and a RW it is painful. How much longer will it take for us to bring in the necessary reinforcements for Enzo?

We lost the ball repeatedly in CM and a better team than Huddersfield would surely have taken advantage of such sloppiness on the transition. We need to be much stronger in holding off challenges and more precise with our passing, to avoid leaving the back 3 exposed to fast counters.

Finally, I think we missed Mads a lot today. He's crucial to the system working as he's so good on the ball that he is basically an extra outfield player which really helps in playing out of the press.

OS: “Hamza Choudhury and Marc Albrighton were useful additions from the bench, supporting the impressive Wout Faes and Jannik Vestergaard at the back.”

So, FT, is the OS correct?

I'll meet you half way saying perhaps I was a little bit OTT saying the Championship is tougher but the Premier League is certainly bang average and i'm not being moved on that opinion.

After this week we probably never have to see ndidi play for us again and I am so so glad about this

When you consider the fact that he was no decent attacking threat on the outside of him, his performances have been no worse than KDH over the three games so far. For as important as KDH was against Cov, he was poor at Burton and average today. KDH had multiple times in the first half where he needed to pick a killer pass but couldn't. Ndidi is someone I'd rather have than lose, especially considering we still need to bring in at least 3/4 players, we can't be wasting time replacing players that can make an impact like Ndidi can.

Any win is a good win. A clean sheet without our first choice keeper and centre half. Controlled lots of the game. Had we been a bit more clinical it’s 4 or 5. Played some great stuff again at times, but visible that we are still a few players short. 3 games in, 3 wins. I honestly think that when the squad is settled and this is clicking we’ll be devastating.

On a side note, can see us picking up lots of bookings this season when we get the ball pinched off of us like today.

Yeah definitely. Which is why we can't keep getting them for dissent. Found that disappointing today

I'd imagine Timmy, Souttar, Daka, Soumare and VK will be either sold or loaned out before the window closes.

I like Timmy but not overly fussed about the others.

Are you absolutely insane?  Ndidi has played well. Get off the narrative bud and open your eyes. IF Enzo thinks he doesn’t fit then WHY has he figured in all 3 games?  A lack of options?  Not really no. Let’s see how this pans out. But you’re gonna be wearing egg
