Apparently, stats say he's a good shot stopper. I'd love to know the stats for how good our defence is (if there even are stats to measure that). Cause whilst he's making individual errors atm, he plays behind one of the most lightweight, error prone, worst defences in the league. It makes it sort of hard to properly judge him. If his backline was more solid he'd look better. With the goal he made his big error on today the cross should never have come in - there were 3/4 players just letting the guy cross it.

People say put Begovic in, but he shipped 3 in the first half against Sheff Utd. I'd hate to be a keeper in this team.

Didn’t like the ironic cheering for a lad from the academy regardless of how shit he was today.

I dont think you can judge a keeper without a decent run of games. We didnt realise how crap Ward was until Kasper left.

The biggest annoyance is we have sold keepers like Iversen and Johannson and they are clearly better keppers than Jakub.

Jakub unfortunately doesnt have the quality for a club of our stature and we should play Begovic until we sign a new No1 in the summer.

Yep, people say they want the young academy lads to get game time and learn but it's a ****ing awful environment for that at times. Not helped by this crowd response when someone's going through a poor patch.

Blimey that’s grim

Dont get me wrong I don’t think he’s the answer long term but what a fvcking way to absolutely ruin a goalkeepers confidence

He was poor today and could perhaps do with a couple of weeks on the bench as long as the time is also given over to some proper coaching.

Wouldn't shock me if he misses Monday, took a big tackle street another Okoli **** up and his foot was clearly in pain

He's an okay keeper at this level. You see howlers like that every week.

You do if you're a Leicester fan!

An academy that's been run or overseen by Jon Rudkin for 30+ years.

It's therefore no surprise that it turns out to be in the same abject state as the rest of this rotten, decaying shell of a club.

The academy probably has more players coming through now then I can ever remember

For their second today, a decent keeper will make 1 of 3 choices.

1. Get it and win it...

2. Make a proper attempt at winning it and get clattered and fouled (need bottle for this!)

3. Stay on your line and deal with a header on goal...

The option he took, standing where he thinks the ball will land at head height expecting to catch it unchallenged then falling over expecting a foul was shocking. Yet another sad indication of the mental fortitude this crop of players hasn't got.

He bottled it today. It wasn’t about competence; it was about courage. And that’s the end for me. If he’s not prepared to be brave and risk a bang, then I don’t know how he can be picked again anytime soon. 😞
