Watching Jakub and McCarthy really shows how good Hermansen was

Hermansen was a cut above, hence why we sold for £20m.  But he wasnt without his mistakes.

In a half-hearted defence of Jakub, playing game-in, game-out, I'd be pissed off if I was playing second fiddle to McCarthy. He probably wants out like the rest of them, and it's not hard to see why when his career is suddenly being stunted by a 36 year old Southampton reject.

Despite everything I still say put Jacob back in next game. The other grey haired geezer is bloody awful! Did we seriously pay money for him?

He is crap and needs to be shipped out.

We're screaming out for proper goalkeeping coaches as you can see the keepers have not be trained properly for 10 / 15 years.

I think I'd bring in someone like Mark Wallington.

A brilliant orthodox keeper who would be able to coach them properly.

I really like Jakub seems to care deeply about the club and has always given 100% but his confidence looks shot and he looks broken, personally i think he needs a move to rekindle his career.

i think being in and around the 1st team for the last two toxic seasons has had a real negative impact on his career. New surroundings and a fresh start will do him and his career a world of good.

I think this is probably pretty accurate

Yeah, I replied to someone else who said the same. Regardless of Hermansens mistakes it still doesn't take away from him being miles better lol

It always makes me laugh with people’s expectations of Goalies.

they are bound to make mistakes, name me ones that don’t? Look at Sanchez for Chelsea the other day

It's not a one off mistake though is it? It's the flaws in his game that seem to appear every match, flapping at crosses, pushing balls in to dangerous areas, and being crap with his feet (although the last is more being asked to do something he clearly can't)

Of course they do. Even the best keepers make mistakes. Schmeichel made plenty, including some absolute howlers. But not every game and not always the same mistakes.

He isn’t going anywhere. We are stuck between him and McCarthy. I’d personally play Stolarcyck - better with his feet, at an age where he can improve rather than a keeper who can’t play with his feet, who is at retirement age and who has a majority history of being a back up keeper in McCarthy.

Jakub had a curious game yesterday. He does look broken and zapped of confidence. The pluses were his passing which were crisper, more decisive and quicker than I’ve seen before. He also made some good reaction saves. His defending from corners, for a big fella, was not so good, he flapped at it a few times. He also has still not learned soft hands and still parries the ball back into the danger zone even with routine saves. All that said he looked a damn sight better than McCarthy. We need to trust in Stol or sell him because McCarthy cannot be the answer.

Vardy is miles better than BDCR. Mark Draper is miles better than Oliver Skipp. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Jakub was on a hiding to nothing last night playing against a premier league team and with a cobbled together defence. I believe he is the best Leicester have at the moment but suspect he won’t be picked on Saturday.

Another who needs moving on.

For those who’s saying he’s a nice lad, you’re wrong. He’s as arrogant as some of the others. Knew him when we went to same sports physio and was arrogant even then. Bumped into him at Ragdale Hall end of last season - awful attitude to people and swanned around like he owned the place. He’s not even good at his job.

Get rid.

He is shaky and often puts the defenders in trouble when he play it out. Not helped though by having no strong physical presence in the middle of the defence. What happened to the square jawed tough defenders like Huth? Him and Wallington would probably strengthen the defence 😉

People weren't claiming we'd be fine with Reid over Vardy though were they lol

Apparently he's woeful. Blackpool fans glad to see the back of him.

Franco got cult hero status at MK for managing to keep a clean sheet against inevitable relegation fodder in AFC Wimbledon after we sold our first choice keeper, but I’m not surprised to see that Blackpool opinion. We quickly replaced him with Jamie Cumming that season.
