Shithousing against the smallest club in the division with far less resources than us is terrible. We've come up against 3 very poor teams and 1 half decent team, and we've scraped past all of them..

Better than losing, there are signs of some excellent football… but yes problems like our defending and control in midfield still persist. However when Casedei come on I felt we looked better

These performances won't do us any good against Norwich or Southampton or even Leeds. It's concerning.

It is, but I'm confident the performances will improve soon. Window shuts next week, international break incoming. Back end of September hopefully we'll be in full flow.

I like this winning feeling, but it is not super convincing is it?

Kudos to McAteer for steping up with the goals, especially the winner. Well done kiddo.

Good job we weren't playing Norwich or Southampton.

Enzo said we're 10% done on the journey to the side he's trying to create. There's a way to go.

Just checking,

Was it still a bad idea to play McAteer?

We're making a habit of tiring teams out and hitting them late on, would be nice to have a comfortable 2 goal lead at some point though

It’s time he started. Time to bench Wilf.

We seem to be consistently poor in the 3rd quarter of the game. Was hoping having got the lead that we'd exert control and see it out but took late heroics again. Still, can't turn your nose up at 5 from 5.

I didn't think we were sloppy today 87% passed completed I believe which isnt sloppy

I think there were times we gave up possession far too easily in the middle which allowed Rotherham to get at our defence. Especially for the first 20/25 minutes of the second half

We have a good mixture of youth and experience Still looking a work in progress side but to keep grinding out results without being totally in sync is extremely promising.

There must be a better option than Vesty though imo, fails to control the box at set pieces he’s far too passive for me needs to be more aggressive and fcuking want that ball every time.

He probably has reasonable stats with passing but that’s because he very rarely plays a ball other than the safe short pass.

Still onwards and upwards.

Coady….but he’s crocked

No idea how but we’re top of the league

Football is very,very simple..

you put it (the ball) in that netty thing ( fisherman’s friend)

More times than those naughty, naughty boys put it ( the ball) in our netty thing.

And tonight all Leicester fans can enjoy Rovrum grub & beer…

and sing football shanties over our young winger McAteer…

simples..:scarf:

Great start to the season in terms of results.

Yes we are having to grind out some of the results, but after last year it is great to see us fighting.

Obviously areas where we can improve and hopefully we can get 1 or 2 in and out.

We push on 🙌🙌

Yes its not very convincing in terms of scorelines but some are being overly harsh on the performances.

We are playing some really crisp and composed football.

Feel like we won't know where we're really at until the week when we go to Southampton and Norwich back-to-back.

Hopefully Coady is back and we have more of a goal threat by then as they're both scoring more than us at present.

Ndidi went off and we instantly looked better and more of a threat in the final 3rd. Hopefully when Casadei becomes a starter and we’ve got a new RW (although Mcateer was probably our best player today) we will start to see more convincing performances

This needs to stop - he had 6 aerials won today, the next highest was doyle with 3.

Still ball watched a floating ball for their goal, no peddling back or jumping, he needs to do much better for what was an average ball in to the box

I only saw the second half today but I thought we were good. Football is neat, players look fit and well drilled. We’re better with Casadei on the pitch for sure.

Yes, I saw those, where the ball was at his head height anyway. When the crosses come in above his head height though there's never an attempt to play it, like that's ultimately the cause of the goal today, decent cross in but Vestergaard doesn't even attempt to deal with it

Good result…

But, there were some concerns with the second half.

There is a running theme throughout the games that there is a period in the second half when we completely lose control of the game, if it wasn’t for the lack of quality in this league, we would be buried in a few of the games.

It’s impressive that we are grinding out the results, but, have we really been tested?

The acid test will be a Norwich or a West Brom, because I’m not totally convinced we are really ready to take these teams on.

Hate to be pessimistic, but I’m just think we’re on the verge of an absolute spanking….

Not impressed with Mavididi today, thought he looked completely ineffective and really lacks composure and quality in the final third.

...Mavididi had a chance in another game to build on us scoring a goal a minute or so after, he fluffed it!!!

He just cannot bring any sense or composure when it matters, trying to knock the skin off the ball when placement was what was required. Take a look at the Mcateer finish where he has wrapped his foot around the ball and gone across the keeper, I get the feeling that he (Mavididi) just does not have the skillset or understanding to implement that process when in that position.
