If James Justin can play in Enzo's system then Kristiansen can. Justin is not particularly strong on the ball but he's developed in to being able to still do what's required of him. Kristiansen would do OK IMO.

Just because he can doesn't mean he should.

Are we only aiming for OK?

If you had the opportunity to buy 3 players to improve the first 11what positions would you focus on?

Whether Viktor can play in Enzo's system is a mute point because he's said publicly that he doesn't want to play a hybrid role. In an early interview he said when Enzo came in and spoke to him about his system and how he would like Viktor to play, he didnt want to do it and sees himself as a traditional LB. I dont think Enzo appreciated that and so the best bet would be for him to leave, Bologna or somewhere else, Enzo will make that clear to the board. He's a decent player but i'd be very surprised if he plays for us again.

I think it's unlikely VK will come back to play for us but not impossible as he may be willing to compromise on the role he plays given the extra money he'll be earning in the PL.

What we ideally need, though, funds permitting, is a LCB who has Doyle's ability on the ball and left footedness, together with JJ's pace and 1on1 defending. Finding one of those in the market we'll be shopping in will not be easy of course, so I'm guessing we'll be looking at a young player from a European league or a loan from a big 6 club. If we can't find one then JJ will definitely do a job for us in the PL, fitness permitting, but I'm not convinced that Doyle could; even in the Championship he has struggled against tricky, fast players.

I don’t VK will have a say as you suggesting he will compromise won’t happen under EM ……….EM will not and should not have players with that mindset !

LB/LCB would not be a top 3 priority put it that way. If our options were Kristiansen and Justin in the PL I'd genuinely be content with that.

The Vestergaard role is far more a priority, as is another CM that will need to drop in from the dual 8's to help Winks. That signing will be critical.

1st choice striker will be 3rd priority for me, closely followed by a genuine alternative to Mavididi and Fatawu.

VK’ is inverting quite a lot under Thiago Motta. Their style of play is very similar to ours, just a bit more aggressive.

I think Enzo values Vestergaard on the ball qualities a lot higher then most of us and if he resigns he will will get the first shot at the central CB slot in my opinion

We have been scouting a lot of Left foot CBs which suggests that a priority, hopefully someone with pace who could play the left side and central CB role.

I would agree we need a quality number 8 who has quality plus the ability to contribute defensively.

I'd also agree on the striker and wingers.

Think we are going to be hard pressed with out FFP headroom, PL level strikers aren't cheap.

I would be surprised if we don't try and sign both Doyle and McAtee.

If there's one player I thought was perfect for Enzo's system when he joined it was JJ. Played as a left or right centre back in a 3 or as a full back. Either footed (him turning back is a clear instruction as I've seen him motor past people on the outside and deliver a good ball on his left foot enough times to know that) and his versatility means he could play as that inverted full back or as the one who pushes into midfield. Not as good on the ball as Ricardo but he's plenty good enough.

Justin isnt great at passing like Callum Doyle for example but he is better than Doyle at protecting the ball which is valuable when playing from the back.

Doing excellently at Bologna, but I still don't see at all where he fits in. Think he could play where Justin is in games we have 70% possession, but that's unlikely to happen next year.

Transfermarkt had us buying him for €14m over 5 years, so would book a small profit

If that all happens then im happy for him. Thought he always put a shift in and was young and willing to gamble his career here, and would have had no idea what shit show he arrived to. We obviously know what happened with Madders and Co and hopefully the club can stop any crap like that happening again.

Had a great assist against Wolves that allowed us to take it to the final day. Think he will have a decent career.

I would genuinely be amazed if they stump up that kind of money for him.

Bologna aren't broke. If they finish in the champions league places then they will have enough money to buy three Kristiansens.
