How to change history

Get someone 'famous' to give their view of it.

Eden Hazard: "We had never lost to Tottenham at Stamford Bridge in 30 years. In that match, I was on the bench. I was watching the game when it became 1-0, then 2-0. I saw Kane and Son score.
Then, manager Guus Hiddink asked me to go warm up. It was my moment; I thought, 'now it’s my turn.' We couldn’t lose at home to Tottenham; if they won, they would be champions, and we couldn’t allow that. I had 45 minutes to give it my all.
When I touched the first ball, I realized it was going to be my day. Gary Cahill scored the first goal, and then the magic happened. Diego Costa passed the ball to me; I ran, and when the ball came to me, I just had to score.
I celebrated by sliding on my knees in front of the Tottenham fans. It was an immense joy. Thanks to that match, Leicester became champions, not Tottenham."
Eden Hazard’s memory of the famous "Battle of the Bridge." 👀

Making out we were neck and neck. “Thanks to that Leicester became champions, not Tottenham” just sounds wrong. We would have won it anyway.

God, is his constant complaining about refs just daddy issues?

I notice Ipswich fans were trying to say that is why they didn’t get a penalty v you .

Somehow Steve Coopers dad being an ex ref influences the officials.

Ipswich fans are pillocks.

We should have had a penalty at their place last year when we were 1-0 up. They then go onto equalise, swings and round abouts.

Yes but Cooper wasn't our manager then.

If he had been......

They have a weak team” – Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City decision questioned in Netherlands

Last week, Leicester City appointed Ruud van Nistelrooy as their new manager, after parting ways with Steve Cooper.

On Tuesday, the Dutchman took charge of his first game and guided the Foxes to a 3-1 win over West Ham United.

Despite the positive start to his Leicester career, Vandaag Inside panellist Johan Derksen isn’t pleased with Van Nistelrooy’s decision to move to the King Power Stadium. His comments are relayed by Voetbal Zone.

The Dutchman returned to England in the summer when he became Erik ten Hag’s assistant at Manchester United. The Red Devils sacked Ten Hag and appointed Van Nistelrooy as interim manager and were unbeaten in four matches under the latter’s guidance.

Van Nistelrooy has stated this helped him receive offers, before he picked the Foxes.

However, according to Derksen – one of the many outspoken pundit in the Netherlands – Leicester isn’t the right club for him.

“He said that after leaving Manchester United, he had a lot of offers. I don’t know if he chose the right club,” he said.

“Look, at the beginning of the season, the coach sacked at Nottingham Forest [Cooper,] went to Leicester City. And after just a couple of games, he was sacked. Then you know there’s internal panic at a club like that.”

The win over West Ham helped Leicester move to 15th spot and they are four points above the danger zone. Derksen insists it’ll be a huge achievement if the new manager were to help the Foxes stay in the Premier League next season.

“They have a weak team, and goals have to be scored by the very old Vardy. And they don’t have a very good goalkeeper,” Derksen explained.

“It’s a very vulnerable team, and it’ll be a world achievement if he manages to keep this bunch in the top division. And an immediate relegation is not good for his career.”

Was he still thinking of Danny Ward when he said that? I mean at least Mads starting position for saving shots is somewhere between the two posts, a huge improvement on Ward. Maybe someone can make a compilation of Mads great saves this season and send a link to Mr "Magoo" Derksen.

This is good. Crap keeper, needs to stay at Leicester for a long time. Nothing to see here

I wish he’d have mentioned our weak keeper earlier in the article - it would have saved me a minute of wasted time

God I hate TikTok. I want to watch your video but can’t be arsed to download an app and register for it just to see one short video. I bet it is the greatest video ever as well!

If you delete the guff in the URL after the ? then you can still watch it without downloading it or having an account.

I don't think I'd answer Forest to that question to be fair. Man City does seem to obvious answer. League would be more fun without them in it.

Edit: the URL it generates when clicking the link above I mean.

Nice one. It worked.

Got to appreciate valid opinions from football fans but not sure why Brentford and Bournemouth are considered tin pot. They deserve to be where they are based on merit.
