To add some balance, peoplw do also seem to forget the long spells of awful football, where let’s be honest, if he’d have been sacked, most wouldn’t have questioned the decision.

We should never have been near the bottom of the league in 14/15 for so long really, or that collapse which led to Deeney day.

Great achievements overall and like O said earlier. I’m thankful for the foundations he built. My favourite season under Pearson was actually League 1.

I clicked on the pre-match press conference hoping for my love to have waned only to witness:

  • Microphone that you wouldn't dare to bring out on your own in the dark let alone on an official occasion being shoved in Nigel's face.
  • Background that looks like it's been knocked up quickly by the local infant school
  • Being interviewed by someone in a lumberjack shirt from an awkward angle who's obviously invading Nige's space that Nige seems to take particular displeasure for.
  • Arthritic/African warlord bracelet on manly god-like right arm
  • Watch halfway down the forearm on the other manly god-like arm
  • Extremely salty difficult answer response for the first stupid question after 1 min about away from.

The only thing missing was a pair of ice white's in shot. What a man, I can't describe how much I love him.

Jokes a part this is really good conference where he delves into quite a bit of his thoughts about us and building up clubs. You can see we are so important to him still and evokes so many emotions in him.

Obligatory I'm afraid.

it’s the other stuff with Pearson that made him so much more to so many of us

Rodgers was a boring bloke, despite him being manager for over 3 years I couldn’t tell you anything interesting about him. Pearson was genuinely engaging and you understood why the players loved him.

Football wasn’t the be all and end all for him, and think that made him a better manager. Remember Radio Leicester interview when they asked Brenda for his favourite book and it was a management / leadership book

Pearson’s man management was exceptional. Just loved the bloke as our manager. Think it’s really hard to convert to non-Leicester fans of that period why it was so special, but as the years go on I’m more convinced we’ll never experience anything like it again

I love him more than any of you love him. I love so much. Just imagine being wrapped by those arms as he gently tells you everything is going to be OK. Everything would be OK, he would make certain of that. God I love him.

I’m on my honeymoon and the one game I didn’t want to miss was this one. Shock I’m missing it and it was too late to cancel the honeymoon. So jealous of those who will be there. Ranieri got a decent reception, imagine how good this one will be!!! Good luck all those going, try and keep the emotions in check if you can…

Whatever you do, DO not show this post to your beloved. 😂

Enjoy your honeymoon.

Nige if you're reading this could you please be my dad? I don't have anything to do with my real dad so I need a positive male role model. I don't expect pocket money or anything like that but maybe a couple of times a month we could go for a few pints in a nice country pub and if I have any flat pack furniture you could come and help me put it up. Cheers

They're all going to get such a huge reception. It's gonna be emotional. There's no one quite like Nigel Pearson.

Oh Captain, my Captain.

I agree he done well for us at times. Yes 2 promotions and the great escape will live long in the memory. So will his sackings doesn’t mean I’m not a leicester fan Cus I say I’m glad his day has come and gone. With out him we may nit of won the league. Chances are we wouldn’t. But I think his time as a top manager has truly passed. And his methods have passed. Hope does well in the rest of his managerial career but wouldn’t want him back

Always loved him, never wanted him out unlike some of you traitors that now pretend you didn't, but Enzo is the man now. We move on. But Nige has a special connection to us just like he does to Middlesbrough and Wednesday.

Nah he deserves nothing but love here. He fixed us not once but twice and that proves it's no fluke. He installed great principles at this club. He's no master tactician but you always felt in safe hands under him. If somebody was to come up with us this season I'd obviously hope it was these.
