FrankieADZ Posted 1 October 2023 Posted 1 October 2023 as much as I like Fatawu, can see him coming off at HT and McAteer coming on 1

Watch that midfield shape when our defenders have the ball, they’re like a Venus fly trap sucking the CBs in, Winks and Ricardo left stranded beyond the midfield box. Agree so we just find another way then. Too one dimensional atm
Suzie the Fox Posted 1 October 2023 Posted 1 October 2023 Faes going to get his 1st brace for Leicester today (in the right goal)

You don't make one mistake and then immediately change the approach. We'll almost certainly keep playing risky passes like that at the back for the rest of the game, it's the whole plan, bait them out and counter. They're going to be drawn out even further up now that it's worked for them. Yes Hermansen has been a bit sloppier today. People are going to have off days sometimes. It happens. 1

Really impressed by their structure, they are tactically far better than we are at the moment, very well drilled. They've sussed us completely. Hopefully our class comes through because we know our tactical approach won't change.

It’s the blueprint on how others will play.

You're aware of that right? An obvious flaw in 'the plan'. People getting shitty about justifiable criticism. Calling it a 'process ' as though it's the apprentice. People should expect better of the keeper. The Tactics aren't an infallible diety immune from criticism. It isn't a 'process' stop trying to elevate it. Manage the team in front of you and don't give the ball away in the box.

Obvious answer is to drop Ndidi back into a deeper role so we have a midfield three to play around them. Alternatively go to a back four but I don’t think we’ve got the personnel on the pitch to do it. If Choudhury was on I think he drops to left back so Justin could go to RB and give us an out. 1

What you do the second time is to execute it properly unlike the first.
splinterdream Posted 1 October 2023 Posted 1 October 2023 I think we look fatigued, we aren't moving off the ball, we play this system, there has to be movement
Sly Posted 1 October 2023 Posted 1 October 2023 This is the type of game, where we will see how good we are tactically. We need to alter our approach somewhat to disrupt them. 1
SecretPro Posted 1 October 2023 Posted 1 October 2023 Slow and ponderous. Fatawu WILL get sent off if he's not dragged at half time.
SafewayFox Posted 1 October 2023 Posted 1 October 2023 JJ getting done over the top is one of the most frustrating things. He misreads the flight of the ball so often. 1
TrentFox Posted 1 October 2023 Posted 1 October 2023 Ten out of ten for Blackburn, but watch out boys as they receive the ball - their first glance is backwards. So depressing.

Bryn Posted 1 October 2023 Posted 1 October 2023 That’s better, play the ball over them in behind and force them to play a lower block.
