Fair play to Sunderland.. they had us on the ropes a little at the end there. Their keeper had a great game and their No10 looked good.

 

Loved seeing Casedei grow into the game. Unlucky not to score, same with Nacho. Loved KDH's tenacity once again. Great performances all round in a hard fought victory... and we still haven't reached the top gears!

Outplayed for most of the game without them having too many clear cut chances, should've won by more.

 

3 more points.. 

 

Only let in 7 in 13 games shows we're able to with stand pressure.

 

Cesare had a good last hour, JJ, Vesty, Riccy and Winks were decent. Felt the rest were vacant but another game down and another win

Were not at our best. Didn’t control the game as normal, down to Sunderland’s tireless efforts. Some poor finishing and decisions and yet, if not for their keeper, could have been an easy 5-0. I’ll take it.

Superb result. Could've been 5-0 to us, could've been 3-1 to them, probably deserved to be about 2-2. A proper good game for the neutral but very nervy for us at times.

 

I'll take 1-0 after that. The run goes on. Eventually we'll wear Ipswich, Leeds, etc. down as well and hopefully the gap will keep growing.

 

We can't take anything for granted but it's brilliant to know that the players aren't believing their own hype and can still grind out results.

 

Casadei and Mavididi were standout for me tonight.

Tough watch, but Sunderland deserve a lot of credit for making life so hard for us. A lot of respect for playing like that.

 

Fingers crossed they keep going and knock Ipswich off their perch.
