I thought he was much improved on Saturday from what I saw and read, especially 2nd half.

He wasn't utterly dreadful (like Boro) and thought he was really good for most of the Leeds game but he's been a massive disappointment. Accept he's going to be hit and miss but initial signs were that he would have a fantastic season and be a good option for the Prem. Hopefully we see more of what he showed initially.

That's probably our best team currently available. However, even they haven't managed to produce enough of a commanding lead in the first hour that would allow Enzo to take off key players. He may opt to do it the other way around and save the best till last if necessary.

Both had an international break though.

Very true but both have been accused of overloading by the previous regimes within this forum and being the 2 players that have broken down the most surely if a particular game can be tweaked to provide an extended break for them then it should be done. We are after all playing Saturday Wednesday Saturday Wednesday most weeks and currently it’s those 2 that remain a constant fixture.

We play bottom of the table surely 1 could be rested, Hamza for Ricardo or Harry/Conor in for Justin and Ricardo moves to LB and does his inversion from that side without disrupting to much, it’s an easy break + keeps those on the sides involved 🤷‍♂️

Losing 1 of those for a few weeks due to a muscle injury would have more repercussions than any other position currently.

Big shuffle for me.

coady, souttar, yunus, praet, vardy/ cannon, winks, casadai

weve got the best  squad so we should use it,  Whatever 11 we select should be more than capable for this one

We need to give Cannon a run out last 20 mins.

Depends if we are 2-0 up by then, too much of a risk to chuck on to chase the game. Nacho or Vardy are ahead of him in that regards

I don't disagree in fairness. I think if we can start with a strong team and hopefully a bit more on the front foot, if we can push into the lead by a couple of goals then perhaps quite a few could be rested. We can after all use 5 subs now. I'd like to see Canon get a full half and perhaps rest KDH later on too?

We can afford to start Coady I'd suggest and perhaps even Souttar?

We need to start giving Cannon game time soon ready for AFCON

Chuck him in from the start here surely, surprised other's aren't calling for it?

Lots of people have called for it. Maresca's comments in his press conference yesterday would suggest it's not going to happen tonight, though.

“Tom is completely fit,” Maresca said. “He is already training with us for many weeks. The only problem with Tom is that he needs to be patient and continue to work. He’s a striker and we have Jamie, we have Kele, and we have Pato (Daka), who’s not even joining us in the squad, so it’s complicated. Tom, he has to continue in the way he is working. We’ll see. Tom probably because of his age, he has full energy. He can help us off the ball a lot because he works very hard. On the ball, his finishing is very good. But it’s just a matter of time with him.”

Not 100% conclusive, but it doesn't sound like Maresca is preparing to throw Cannon in from the start...

Scorelines will obv play a part on when Cannon gets a chance. If we ever find ourselves 2/3 goals up by the time we usually make the Kel/Vardy sub, I imagine he'll be in with a shout but as it is, we are usually still at 0-0/1-0 by that point.

In that case you just have to trust what he's saying. I'd like to see him play but Maresca knows what he's doing.

@SemperEadem any idea if Kilner Way retail park is ok as a drop off/pick up point or do they close the car park when all the shops are shut? Getting dropped off by the Mrs but she's a nervous driver so wants somewhere fairly familiar to her. This place seems ideal as it's far enough from the ground to avoid any road closures
