I love Riyad he gave us so many moments of pure world class skill. Moments that previously you'd only see the very great players produce (Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho etc)

Saw him in High Cross Nandos when he'd just signed and wished him all the best.  Think that gave him the boost to have the career he has.

It’s mental he hadn’t really stood out at Le Havre that much. 15/16 came out nowhere relatively.

 

Not even in his top 10 goals but the Bournemouth free kick was very smart

Riyad was an absolute genius and didn't get half the credit he deserved in English football. 

I have said it before, but for a few seasons I would have paid the season ticket fee to watch him play alone, and that's without everything else that happened!

An incredible player, and when he finishes I hope he can come back to recurve the adolation his talent deserves. (Its also nice he talks about us fondly now.)

Can't help but think we wasted he two seasons after the league win.

 

Two seasons of two of the greatest City players together in Mahrez and Vardy and we had a 12th and 9th place in the league, QF in the CL, FA Cup and League Cup.

Don’t get me wrong he’s easily the best RM/RW I’ve seen play for the club in my 35 years going down. But I still think he’s a nob for waiting in a departure gate on deadline day trying to force a move.

Whilst i agree that what he did trying to force a move was obviously petulant. In hindsight he was in his prime, we were now a mid table team with no European football on the horizon. He was far too talented to be not be on the European stage.

 

And at least when he did play after forcing a move I never got the feeling he downed tools, he still won us games on his own, unlike Youri!

Easily the most talented football I've seen pull on the blue shir, I guess as fans we don't always see things the same way players do.

 

I'll forgive him his odd sulk for all the marvelous moments he produced for us 

 

As others have said I also don't feel like he stopped producing his best even if he didn't want to be here. 

 

Whilst I'm currently angry at the way the club is being run. I'm also very much on the side of be glad it happened and be glad we witnessed it. For 1 season Kante, Mahrez and Vardy made us unreal. And even tho it was short lived Mahrez and Vardy were still a joy to watch in tandem most our best moments even the following season or 2 owed a lot to that pair.

Recruitment was abysmal and all the trust went into Ranieri and Rudkin. Who proved they didn't have a clue when it come to those decisions they had to make. Blind trust that eventually caused everything we see now.

Ryan Mendes I believe Steve Walsh said he wasn't impressed but someone else caught his eye.

We’ve only had two players “better” than him in our entire history. Kante and Vardy. Insane that all three came along at the same time. Legend. X

We underperformed a lot in the seasons between the title and Rodgers’s first full season

 

17/18 and 18/19 in particular we should have really been qualifying for europe
