PET HATES FROM COMMENTATORS/PUNDITS

Because I like to hear the crowd noise at matches on TV, I have to have the commentaries too. My current pet annoyances from Commentators/pundits are: calling midfield playmakers - QUARTERBACKS; some one putting over a DELICIOUS cross; OVERTIME instead of added time. This may sound petty but really grates. I’m sure there are more!

Honestly, when they feel the need to talk alllll the time. It's ok to have a quiet moment without pure dribble.

Somewhat similar to this is when they have a certain narrative in mind, about a team or a player and they are desperate to fit the game to it. 

 

It's hard to give an example, but let's say they bang on about Maddison being amazing at passing and then cream themselves over every single regulation pass that I'd make. Just call the sodding game.

Peter Drury reading out clearly pre-conceived poetry as the players from Bournemouth and Luton come out to play a midweek game in November.

 

I really hate when they stop talking and pan around the ground when things like You'll Never Walk Alone play. They'll nearly always follow that up with "spine tingling atmoshere here at Anfield" and then 2 minutes into the game you can hear the players talking to each other and Klopp berating the referee.
