Can we get a championship ref for the big games next time lol

Genuinely think they’re better than the prem refs, never as many talking points or shots of them walking off at half time because they’ve ****ed it

Mate lol

He's got both of those calls pretty much bang on.

That's a ridiculous challenge from Fatawu.

It’s the lack of yellows he knows he should have given that’s why he gave it as a red card , yes it was a crazy challenge but seriously that was a pressure call for me .

Refs absolutely bottled it - shambles follows him everywhere tbf

It's borderline really. It was definitely reckless in terms of force but it was one footed and his foot was low.

Ridiculous from Fatawu to go in like that anyway.

Effing @Ric Flair 's fault that as he predicted a red!

Fatawu has had that coming. Its the sort of challenge that if the ref is in 'that' frame of mind and the angle makes it look worse then its going to be given. He's got away with a few before.  A few mins before half time he simply doesn't need to do that.

Both should have been red

Inclined to agree with this. Think Fatawu's is a little harsh but it's hard and fast with studs up. Think reckless is a fair interpretation.

Unless he’s denied a goal scoring opportunity, then it can’t be a red and a penalty.

I mean it absolutely can be, see the Romero red against Chelsea for Spurs earlier this season

This challenge was worse than that one and it was pretty much a consensus that Romero deserved his red
