Fantastic idea not selling him to Monaco the other year.

You clearly know all the in and outs of the deal, if there was one ... or did you just read a snippet in the notoriously accurate media and leap to a judgement?

If he's playing well for Seville, i reckon he'll have other offers which will strengthen our hand.

It's interesting he hasn't closed the door on a return to Leicester.

Obviously we aren’t going to sell him for anything that will count as a loss on the balance sheet due to FFP. So if they aren’t willing to buy him he’ll more than likely come back and be the N’didi replacement come summer.

The work rate is the real issue

This. I reckon Enzo demands players to track back & win the ball back if they lose it, like Fatawu often does

I've never seen Soumaré do either.

Recoveries per 90 mins in the league: Soumare has 7.1

Ricardo 5.89

Winks 5.7

N'Didi 4.17

KDH 5.62

So he's doing it in Seville as the most central midfielder.

Fairly meaningless comparison all things told. We have so much of the ball that recoveries are likely to be far less frequent.

Unless his attitude / effort has changed whilst on loan at Sevilla I wouldn’t want us to keep him

if Enzo can get a tune out of him he could slot into Wilf's role easily. It is a MASSIVE if though.

I think Maresca works wonders with him tbh.

Sell if if the price is right but I wouldn't be selling for nothing. We should have recalled him in January IMO.

I can't wait for him to leave so people can stop kidding themselves that anyone will ever get a tune out of him here. He's rubbish.

He wouldn't be the first player to be the right man at the wrong time.

Was fantastic for Lille and is currently having a decent season for a club miles ahead of us.

Quite convinced Lionel Messi would have been shit for us last season.

What about the season before last season?

Underlying numbers at Lille weren't that impressive. Unless his work rate does a complete 180 he'll do nothing here, regardless of manager and regardless of time. He's not discernibly good at anything.

He was a decent squad player for a side that finished 8th and got to a European semi final. :dunno:

He’s never been a decent squad player.
