That suggests we will likely need to sell another prized asset at some point across the next 12 months. So who do we think will be the next significant Fox to join the ‘they used to play for us’ thread?

Whilst spending 50m obviously the wage bill is down considerably since then, if we spend 50m you would imagine it needs to be at least 50% of what was previously received but we still have a lot of high earners for a team newly promoted on a 83m PSR 3 year cycle.

Play our cards right with Fatawu and he could go for a significant amount, although I imagine it would have to be Chelsea who are most likely to pay silly money. I think Hermansen could go for £25mil or so. From a pure profit perspective, obviously Nelson is the most interesting right now, but there is a lot of competition in central defence. We are still a few years away from Avles or Sammy getting big offers, and we would need Alves to extend his contract anyway.
Gazza M Posted 2 July 2024 Posted 2 July 2024 If Chelsea come back with big bucks for Mads later in the summer it could be him as early as that in my opinion. Was key to Enzo ball and not many better with the ball at his feet.
