He was, as always, a passenger.

 

Simple flicks around the corner on the 6 or 7 times he touched it. Never a turn, never a feint, never checks, nor chops feet.. never takes that extra touch. Always a quick lay off or flick to avoid an embarrassing dispossession 

 

It's exactly what a competent Sunday morning player would do if they were parachuted into a professional team. It's imposter syndrome. He's just surviving, hanging on in there hoping to god nobody notices. 

 

What the manager and assistants and coaches and analysts sees in him, goodness only knows

Also in the first game where he slipped on a banana skin when trying to shoot a few feet in front of goal. 
 

He should be in about 6 goals already. Think he has proven he isn’t good enough, the quality of the league doesn’t matter if you can’t even get it on target.
