Why do you think that?

Tell me about your own reaction to the over reaction of others?

How do you feel now?

When you wonder these things... where do these  thoughts come from?

Not expecting a lot this season so not really panicking. Survival has to be the target and we’ll probably need 47+ points to stay up with a reduction.

How many point are you expecting us to get deducted? I personally cannot see us needing that many points, which isn't a bad thing at the minute!

Teams have stayed up hitting the 35 point mark, all but once since we won the league.

Yep, we essentially need to become a lower mid-table team immediately to survive most likely, and sadly we look very far from that

I’m not panicking one bit, I’ve accepted this season is a total write off before it begins. Like I said before it’s about getting our finances in order and that most likely means an embarrassing season on the pitch with no quality whatsoever.

If there ever was a season to “couldn’t care less” about football it’s this one.

I’d say 8 at least the FA / Prem hate us we’ll not get any reductions because we’ve not been cooperating with them. Even on 35 points as you say we need 43, 35 will be very lucky to stay in the league I can’t see it being that low.

I’m not panicked at all. I’ve already accepted relegation so it’s going to be a relaxing season of seeing what I already know will happen!

I think you have to be practical and realistic.

1. We have this every year.

2. Early signings are of course very nice but the reality is that for most clubs, most business is done very late for two logical reasons. Firstly, clubs will hold out for the most money they can get for their asset. Secondly, players and agents will wait and see what their best club and financial options are.

3. Currently we're in a different position to our supposed rivals. The club's a bit of a basket case despite on paper being a Premiership club. Everyone knows that we're due a points deduction but not how many that will be. Therefore any potential signings will have to be prepared to accept that there's more than a good chance that they'll be playing in the Championship next season. Even if they are willing to accept that, then there will undoubtedly be some potential contract clauses and negotiations forthcoming. I would suggest that the transfer pond we're currently fishing in isn't of the highest quality and deliberations have to be made over just signing long term mediocrity or going with what we have. Who of a high calibre would realistically want to come here?

yes we have it every year, but unfortunately the last  few years have been pretty disastrous   In the transfer market, so people would be absolutely right to be nervous if more of the same..

Season is over before it’s begun.

Sold out best player, replaced him with a 32 year old Bobby de Cordova Reid, and continued to waste funds stock piling average at best centre backs.

Literally dreading Saturdays.

The panic for me is Cooper saying he wants 4 or 5 more in, yet it been over 3 weeks since we've got 1 in. Is Rudkin capable of securing multiple deals in days?

The problem for me is Cooper, is he going to attract top guys who can run and change the game ?

Clear as day that we need a creative midfielder and a centre forward. At least we are being linked to the midfielders, even if no progress is being made. Baffled as to why we haven't seen anything regarding a centre forward.

As incompetent as the club is, I'm guessing it's finance related rather than an arrogance that we will be okay. Without 2 or 3 in the right positions coming in I'll be amazed if we don't finish bottom of the pile the way things stand.

Agreed. I think we would have been more attractive with Corberan tbh, that Bielsa philosophy is endearing. Whereas Cooper doesn’t have a style. So not only are we cash strapped, newly promoted, points deducted, relegation favourites, we don’t have an obvious style, and we don’t have a character who will attract players.

with the impending points deduction of which the total amount is still unknown, this is making it difficult for us in the transfer market i think.  players won't want to come because of this. depending on the amount of points being deducted the club is going to face a major challenge to not get relegated.  good quality players won't want to play in the championship. i'm sure we have a decent amount of money to spend, but it can only go towards players who want to come.

We have literally no attacking midfield if that’s not fixed we will struggle

The problem is who will come? The two excellent Celtic midfielders the media have linked us with will be attracted quite obviously to the big clubs eg Chelsea etc etc. in the Championship we had style and a charismatic manager, but although we achieved our objective after hiring Cooper we have gone backwards, no style, basically confusion.
