For once I'm not jumping on an anti Cooper bandwagon. We lost due to individual defensive cock ups. Which can't be levied at Cooper. Some of our central midfield play was excellent tonight. But was undermined by shocking defending and poor final 3rd play.

I know he looks like the love child of Tevez and Ribery, but Cooper is just 44. Within that time, he has managed Liverpool Youths, England U16/17s, Swansea and even Prem Forest. How many managers out there have a better pedigree at that type of age who want to come here at the moments? I cant think of many bright up and coming ones who would. You could argue we are in a better position now with our points haul and no points deduction but it was slim pickings before, I dont know why now we would have a big pool of quality to choose through/

I wonder if any of those teams would employ him now?

I was cooper in until tonight but it's quite clear we aren't getting enough from what we have and they are a mediocre team we played tonight. They aren't even going to be top half.

It was just poor. I think he can turn it around but it never felt like we were doing to tonight and in this kind of game that's unforgivable.

Id go after Potter again while we still have the chance. He knows now hes not getting the england job so more likely to come and also accept less money etc.

Cooper is a nice enough bloke but hes just not a PL standard manager

No one wants him because he was the wrong choice and is proving exactly that. Agreed, he can’t make up for the defensive mistakes but he can make up for 1 shot on target and the players clearly having no idea what to do. There is no patterns in play, no obvious strategy and quite frankly nothing gaining momentum or building in any way whatsoever. We are a different team every time we take to the pitch and it’s a complete lottery every time.

There is zero….. I mean completely nothing at all to build on or cling on to. We have won 2 games and we were truly dreadful for large majority of both games.

Tonight selection was correct , they are our best players we have but should be well drilled and cohesive at this point. Having not been selected before collectively,  Unfortunately they are not and have zero clarity on anything they are trying to do.

many of these problems fall in Steve cooper and he is never going to build anything here because he is simply not good enough and proved exactly that at forest and his time here.

He took forest up when they was languishing near the bottom of the championship,

them kept them up,

and when he lost his job no forest fans were particularly happy with Nuno has his replacement,

who also only just kept them up,

now they look like a different team,

when cooper took over we was all expecting a points deduction and so we’re not much of a proposition for any new players,

January will be different for us,

all this hate for cooper is simply because he was at forest,

if he was let’s say a foreign manager you would all be saying to give him time,

I personally think that 9 points so far is a good amount,

considering we’ve been 2nd best for at least 1 half in every match,

Southampton would snap our hands off for our point atm

Problem is, he will. Too long

Don't think he will to be honest. Reckon tonight is a big blow to his hopes. If we'd have lost last week they'd sack him tonight. I think a loss at Ipswich and that's it.

Was our esteemed owner or DoF at the game?

He’s had too many of those poor decisions, bad, sorry atrocious performances to be given another chance. Maybe I need to sleep on it but that today was so bad. But then so was first half we Everton and Saints. Forest took their chances today,

very disappointing to have him as a manager. I still don’t think he’s added anything,

It's been clear from preseason that he isn't good enough, just got to hope that the board have learned their lessons from leaving it too late to sack Rodgers. This squad shows glimpses of excellence and could stay up under a manager who knows what he is doing.

When you think about it, he's managed us for 9 league games, 2 league cup games and all of pre-season, and not once in that time has there been a full, solid, 90 minute good performance (possible exception - Tranmere at home in the cup). Even the good results feature one half that's an absolute horror show.

Potter can piss off n all for me. Cockteased us too many times thinking he'd get a better gig. Unrelated but I loathe the mindset we aren't attractive enough a job to go out and get someone exciting.

Unfortunately our board will look straight at Potter or Southgate once they sack this moron.

Nah, the big thing for me is that the players, those who work with him day in day out, clearly aren’t fond of him. Compare the noises coming out of the camp this time last year with Maresca (players who wanted to leave being so impressed they U turned etc), with the numerous player unrest rumours this year already.

Said it weeks ago it’s so inevitable.

The results against Bournemouth and Southampton purely just kicked the can down the road.

3,300 forest fans embarrassing the rest of the King Power in singing his name would have been a bit of a sobering moment in that directors box of “Oh what have we done”.

“Straight back down Leicester City, playing football the cooper way” :ermm:

To be fair to Potter nobody knew if wed get a points deduction or not it was a big risk for any manager.

I really think Potter will go to a team and show what a top manager he is again. Hes miles ahead of Southgate as well

On my three hour drive home I contemplated not renewing my season ticket next season if he is trajectory we’re on. I know we’ve just come up and this season is about stability, but can we kick on with this guy? The answer is a resounding no.

I’ll let you decide if it was the long drive or Cooper that was the key factor, but to go from Enzo (high ceiling) to Cooper (low ceiling that’s caving in) is just so disappointing.

He’ll be gone by the time you renew, wouldn’t worry about it.

Disagree.

Faes is in the Belgium team.

Okoli is a talent and will get caps for Italy.

Ricardo has been underused and looked undercooked tonight, that’s on the manager. He should’ve featured more, very good footballer.

Justin and VK are more than capable bottom half PL full backs.

Coady and Vesty more than capable PL CB’s

And yet nearly ALL of these players (we haven't had Okoli for long enough), have had their issues and caused us problems, even in the Championship (AND for their nations).  You are not being honest with yourself and everyone else about their true abilities NOW.
