Sh1t!!

Looks like we might have to beat Ipswich

If Cooper is in charge we will lose convincingly to Ipswich.

If he is sacked early this week we beat them easily.

That's the difference.

It's 3 from us, Ipswich, Saints and Wolves. WHU and Everton will pick up enough points to be safe I think.

I'm 50/50 on Palace, I think they'll be ok because of the talent in their squad.

A lot will depend on when teams sack their manager, go early and you might get the first pick of a decent one (Moyes, Potter).

There are quite a few crap teams in the league and obviously it's relatively early days but I have a strong suspicion all three promoted sides are going to drop again (has this ever happened twice in a row?). Ipswich I just don't think have a very good squad at all, Southampton are Southampton and though I think we have enough quality about us to keep our heads above water it would be no surprise whatsoever to see us sleepwalk into another irrecoverable situation as we did with Rodgers.

Everton simply can not and will not ever get relegated and the sooner we all make our peace with that the better. Wolves are crap but you would expect to pick up after a very difficult start. Palace and West Ham are no great shakes either but both have good enough managers that I think they will be fine and Forest look alarmingly solid.

The bottom four or five are so honking that it might only take about 32-34 points to be safe. Ironically, that could mean we could be as bad as Cooper's Forest were and get the same result. As in we could absolutely stink the place out for 90% of the season and just shithouse even wins to scrape up.

All of this is assuming that the likes of Ipswich, Southampton and Wolves stay honking enough for us not to be cut adrift. I'm not sure about Palace either; one swallow doesn't make a summer and they have looked truly atrocious until today.

Wolves aren't even honking, they've had horrific fixtures. They'll be above us by Xmas I'd wager.

Ipswich and Saints won't get out of it. I think that's already becoming clear. Wolves have enough about them to finish 15th at least. Palace look alarmingly bad, in spite of their win today. Spurs have a famous habit of absolutely shitting the bed at times and that appears to have happened today.

My thought process is that if we keep Cooper, we'll be in the battle right to the death. Replace him with a better manager, support that manager in January and we survive pretty easily. There are some horrid sides at the bottom.

It wouldn't surprise me. I have the feeling that they'll put a few results together once they get their first win on the board.

Surely ETH is getting sacked in the morning. No way they're keeping him in the job after spending hundreds of millions to be 2pts above us.

I would say the same about Ange but it's just Spurs. A nothing team, playing for nothing, achieving nothing. It doesn't matter who's in charge there.

At least he'll be ok with the next fixture.

If we don't beat Ipswich, this place will be mad next week..

10 Wins you stay up.

8 to go.
I think we will go down.

I tend to agree with you, but if we get the right manager, I believe we have decent enough squad to say up
