Bit melodramatic.

It's not.

Wolves have a vital shot of confidence at the worst possible time for us and we're about to get utterly spanked by Liverpool and Manchester City over the next four days to wreck the last remnants of ours.

Short of an uptick in form out of absolutely nowhere and/or a summer of 2018 standard transfer window, we're down.

Do I think we will will today, no.

Can we win this game. Definitely.

Genuinely what have you seen this season from these two teams to suggest that we can "definitely" win this?

It’s football.

Technically, a Reform MP vs. his girlfriend is a fight.

In reality, he ended up doing time and it took two bouncers to pull him off her. So it was as one-sided as this match is going to be.

(I know it's in bad taste)

How can it be spun any different? Just seems like the beginning of the end.

**** me boys it's not even January yet.

We've played less than half the games and there's five teams separated by five points who could all go down with Southampton.

I'm not suggesting it's a great position to be in but there's levels.

it is but how would they feel when Cunha potentially gets banned for say 5 games?

its a real double edge sword atm, as for me hes the glue holding that Wolves team together

You're relying on us improving our form and signing decent players who actually want to play for us.

Gal Gadot and Margot Robbie might knock on my door with a bucket of baby oil and crotchless underwear, but I don't think it's likely.

I might have enjoyed that goal if between the stream quality and the fog I could see it.

I think Jordan Ayew scored. It looked like either him or Jannik Vestergaard.

Edit: oops wrong thread

Now Wolves have picked up, it's hard to see anyone other than the promoted 3 going down, sadly.

Yeah, small chance of Palace or Everton not making it, but I think if they dont make it, its going to need one of the promoted teams to get at least high 30s.  We were crap in the wrong seasons, but cant complain, as we got 81 points in a rare season when all the usual candidates had a bad one.

Forest are massively overperforming.

Wolves have just got 6pts from two games where one of which we had Ward in goal and then United imploded.

We’re still in the fight.

Nah. Bottom 3 are set now for the rest of the season. For the 2nd season in a row those that came up are going straight back down. The PL is now a de facto closed shop.

It is and always has been the 3 of us and Everton imo. You can just see the other squads are too strong and short of horrific management they would likely not be beatable over a full season.

Everton, are strong defensively but with a lack of goals it only takes a few consecutive 1-0 losses to put them in the mess.  Hopefully they lose the next few and we get through it in tact enough to have a proper go when the fixtures improve. I’d absolutely love to be the ones to relegate them

The league is in danger of becoming a closed shop of 17 teams, the gap will continue to widen unless a promoted team can relegate 1 of the weaker Prem teams.

Look at the teams that'll come up when us 3 go down, Leeds aside you just know they won't be able to attract the kind of player that'll keep them up. Yet teams like Wolves are struggling in 17th, littered with internationals.

Good luck to those coming up, somebody needs to flush a couple of these turds for the good of the pyramid.

I'm still holding out hope we can sort it out & sneak it, there's a long way to go... but I do agree it's becoming harder, almost impossible for promoted teams, tradionally lower end teams like Bournemouth and Fulham have top international managers and are able to spend big money on well scouted continental players. What it takes to stay up now is becoming impossible to afford and attract, it's why the Cooper appointment made even less sense, the premier league has left managers like him behind, jury is still out on RVN but it's a hell of a risk
