Nothing will happen about it though as the authorities are too busy trying to figure out how much to punish us for contracts we handed out before PSR existed.

It is a really poor reflection on the PL. You have clubs signing players they don’t want and young academy players being traded like they are not people. It is players who are losing out in a way (obviously I’m sure the financial earnings make it all better). The PSR stuff does need to go as clubs are too busy just finding ways around it.

That said, we can’t exactly say we are being punished for contracts handed out before it existed. This implies our hands have been tied through no real fault of our own. Even if we go back to the summer of 2022 (when we were definitely aware of PSR), the following have all being signed or given new contracts;

Faes

Souttar

Kristiansen

Coady

Winks

Skipp

Ayew

BDR

Vestergaard

Ndidi

Choudhury (I think)

The only ones you could genuinely make this case for would be Daka and Soumare who were signed the year before.

The truth is, the club could easily have navigated PSR becoming properly enforced with sensible decisions over the last couple of years. The business last summer tells us all we need to know.

That is why you can both think PSR is a load of crap, that it goes after the wrong teams and even think they are unprofessional in how they are going about trying to get us, whilst also thinking Leicester deserve anything we get.

Indeed. I think the days of them being able to attract truly elite players has gone (for now) but for the levels below that, they are still a massive draw.

Wages, endorsements, social media clicks. All the stuff your modern, young footballer seems to value very highly.

True and I didn’t realise Mbeumo was only 25 too so going into his peak .

On paper  an excellent signing with great PL experience for Man U if this happens.

Bournemouth losing a number of players by the looks of it

3 of their back 4 too. Not like it's just one position, that's some big replacements they'll need. Especially for Huijsen and Kerkez.

I imagine Semenyo may be targeted as well.

But they will laugh in the face of psr for a few years. I would get why they’d cash in now when their stock is still high. Especially if one of them was making the others look better than they are.

They will really have to back themselves to get the window right though but I suspect they will

Inevitable for Bournemouth really, teams with more money will strip them of talent. All comes down to can they replace who they lose with likewise players but for less cash and how long can they keep doing this.

Bournemouth also have the following loan players returning next season. Mostly attacking but still…

Junior Kroupi

Romain Faivre

Hamed Traore

quick sell the ground, land etc to ourselves

They just need to get over it and scrap the whole thing. It has added nothing.

In fairness, I think sister clubs and groups of clubs should be prevented anyway. It’s all just a shambles.

Almost as though they weren't bothered about this until the threat of the regulator came in....

Spent 30 years encouraging clubs to spend what they liked to grow the brand and it got out of control. Ourselves, Everton and Notts Forest have been victims of timing.

Yeah to the company queen blackout ran by Topless

We have three weeks to get a sale of something done ( if we need to)

but not sure if we have to meet EFL rules rather than PL because by end June we are an EFL club.
EFL don’t allow sales as referenced above

I think it’s when the next PL meeting takes place (which is quite soon).  I referenced end June because that’s the date our accounts are closed. (And what we used as an excuse last time).

EDIT:  might have been today

Not sure about when we are officially an EFL club but as of today we are no longer a Prem one

The three clubs who were relegated - Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton - have transferred back the share certificates that gave them Premier League status, and the Premier League Board has confirmed the cancellation of these shares.
