He’s honoured his contract, won everything there is to win in club football and going to join the biggest club in the world. He should be going with a great send off from the club & fans.

Have Liverpool paid us for Trey Nyoni yet anyway???

Nope.

My son in law his dad and brother are all born and bred Liverpool fans and their response to TAA leaving was "Yeah, not that bothered to be honest" and "Same, only sad part is we didn't get some £"

Despite all the hatred on here for Liverpool fans they are thoroughly decent people very humble and magnanimous with respect to LCFC and football. It also applies to all the the Liverpool people I've met through them.

There's so much tarring of everyone with the same brush on here and yet when it happens re being an LCFC fan the response on here is outrage.

I've always hated Liverpool more than any other club for a variety of reasons.

But a few of us went to support my  mate doing the Liverpool half marathon last month and stayed over for a couple of nights and i have to say , they're really nice people and a great laugh ( the ones I met anyway)

Living in Bedford,  I think it's mainly the plastics that I can't stand and it's probably the same for those living in other parts of the UK

What is their issue specifically with TAA because you get the impression that if VVD &/or Salah decided to move on this summer they would applaud them & say fair play they contributed and will leave as legends.

Did Owen get the same stick when he left for RM.

Is it solely about being local & why would a local want to play elsewhere?

It's mad that over 40 points might not be enough to keep you up this season.

I don't think I understand this post. 3rd bottom has 22 points. 25/26 would probably keep anyone else up.

Mental that 17th place has a positive goal difference. Don't think I've ever seen that.

Spurs tonked a few teams in the first half of the season, they stuck 4 past Man City, Everton, West ham and 5 past Southampton, but I only remember Liverpool thrashing them.  Most of their defeats have been by the odd goal. So not typical results for a team that low.

This has always been my argument but always seems to get questioned, pleased someone else has said it lol

I guess on the flipside the point is that for the 18th placed side to survive this season they would have needed 40+pts.... the side you're on is that Spurs/Man Utd would have only needed 25/26 points to survive.

It's rare. Don't think it's ever happened.

I had a look at the table when we were relegated in 2004, as wanted to see what other 'big' clubs were far down the table as I knew Spurs were.

Man City had a positive GD that year finishing 16th...

Yesterday proved how counterproductive booing your own is. The Liverpool players were shocked by it and affected their rhythm.

Amusing to think that Tom Cannon could well be in the Premier league next season and we aren't. :nono: Maybe Choudhury too.

Knowing us we'll ask to loan him back lol

And both he and Sheff U will be shat straight back down to the Championship, probably breaking Derby's record low points tally.

Cannon barely played for the. in the Championship. Cant see him getting much success next season.

What amuses me is that they are both getting a trip to Wembley.
