Add tonight on to his record of being a defensive midfielder who cannot tackle

 

Has not won a tackle in a league game for us since Palace in mid September

I think the recruitment thought because Winks worked out great for us last season, let's get another home grown Spurs player. Unfortunately unlike Winks, Skippy didn't play alot of games for Spurs. 

Reading the Spurs forum before we signed him they thought he's a championship standard and were shocked they got so much for him. Judging by his performances reckon he's worth around 2m

When we bought him I thought it was a bit of a desperation signing and also a paper misquote by about 15m.

 

I have seen nothing so far to change my mind on what I have always thought was an average player, Championship at best. I know he is one of these faces that has played plenty for Spurs and the u-21s but he is one of many players that for some reason people talk of in the positive but I cant remember him being brilliant in any game.

 

This deal will cost us around 30 min in total, crazy really when we have quite a few in the squad that are better than him.

 

At 24 he can still improve, at this stage I cant see it.

£20mil for a £2mil player (almost being generous). We wouldn't have been any worse off had we not signed any midfielder and just given Choudhury the minutes.

 

We will be counting down the years until his contact runs out sadly.
