When we really needed to have a good window, we absolutely blew it didn't we?

Again.

Compare and contrast with last season;  30m total on Abdul, Stephy, Mads, Winks,

(the yunus and Coady being - for any club - the unavoidable and inevitable duff signings) ...Doyle was middling

Phillips on loan would have been just as good. They'd both be crap but at least we are not down 20 million.

Yunus very underrated. If Enzo used a number 10 last season he would’ve played way more. Even played out of position I liked him.

One way I can tell he's a level above Hamza, if you watch him he's constantly scanning and looking over his shoulders. Hamza gets tunnel vision ,which is why his whole contribution 99.999% of the time is to pass the ball back straight where it came from.

People comparing this man to Hamza are so far off, it's mental.

Skipp belongs at this level, he's just what everyone thought Winks would be, a bit of an anonymous box to box midfielder that doesn't excite.

Hamza barely belongs in the Championship and it's a tragedy he's still under contract.

Skipp belongs at this level in what way? If we go down i dont see any PL team trying to pick him up apart from Spurs for their homegrown quota. If by this level you mean PL relegation fodder then i agree but if you want to stay in this league then Skipp is in no way good enough as a starter currently.

Hes a very good Championship player. Probably what we need soon

He appears to be Championship level but I wouldn’t say he is very good at that lower level. He looks a bang average Championship player that by luck was in a top 6 premier league youth system. He can only play in straight lines, prefers a wall pass, can’t play on the half turn and hasn’t got the physicality that can make up for the technical and creative shortfalls that he appears to have. The games keep passing him by and he continues to bring nothing, he has no discernible impact.

Doesn't offer a lot but I actually thought he had energy and was trying to get things moving. He had Bilal and Ayew in front of him giving the ball away instantly.....he should have been gutted to come off.

Yet another example of poor recruitment and why buying from other Premier League clubs isn't worth it most of the time. Limited budget and we decided to spend a fair portion of it on a player that doesn't seem to have any strengths, he's just bang average at best at everything.

Exactly this. Skipp and Ayew were ridiculous signings
