I only ever saw it from board members on here saying he was. It was always a cope.
JimJams Posted 29 April Posted 29 April (edited) @Sunbury Fox Technically we only "bought" one of them. Edited 29 April by JimJams

Baring in mind he cost a similar amount to Akinbiyi over 20 years later no where near. Plus he wasn’t actually signed to play as a striker here, if we had a more competent striker he probably wouldn’t have been getting a sniff in that position this season. Not to mention he has played more games over his career in winger and midfield positions than he has as striker 1

Doesn't track back or get forward well, because he can't or won't run. 1

Okazaki's game was a lot different to Ayew's and he played more as a support striker. His work rate and movement helped create space for Vardy and co and as we were 4-4-2 then and he acted as a link between midfield and attack. Ayew on the other hand offers very little to this team. 5
sylofox Posted 30 April Posted 30 April Can we not do a daily countdown on this now. Then we know exactly when the party starts.

murphy Posted 30 April Posted 30 April 14 hours ago, Tommy G said: Yes—Jordan Ayew could still play in the Premier League, but the role he’d have is the key question. He’s not really suited anymore to being a starting No. 9 for a team that needs goals every week. His scoring output has never been high, and at this stage of his career that’s unlikely to change. So if a club expected him to lead the line and carry attacking output, that would probably fall short. Where he does still fit is as a squad player in the right system: Mid-to-lower table teams that value defensive structure and work rate Managers who want pressing and discipline from forwards Bench or rotation role, covering multiple positions across the front line He still offers: Tactical intelligence Ball retention and fouls won Defensive contribution from the front Experience in the league But the trade-off is limited creativity and inconsistent finishing. So realistically, he’s at the stage where he’s a useful Premier League squad option, not a focal point. If a team signs him expecting reliability and effort, he can still do a job. If they expect goals and flair, they’ll be disappointed Drugs are bad kids. 1

Nolucklcfc Posted 30 April Posted 30 April Funny thing is when he first came he was a bit of a cult hero here. Ipswich and Saints away he was serenaded. Was genuinely decent for about 3 months and then turned into an old man.

If you don't laugh you'll cry type humour.
