fazzyfox Posted 2 May Posted 2 May At the end he did a slow leisurely walk around the pitch - or “playing football” as he calls it. 4

Popular Post Jaspa Posted 2 May Popular Post Posted 2 May I'm not sure what people expected to be honest, he produced what he always has done through his career. Scored two big goals against Southampton & Ipswich away in the Premier League. Languid, slow, sure. That's what he does, you can't teach an old dog new tricks, so why expect what he isn't capable of? Recruiting him made sense for trying to stay in The Prem if we had other capable strikers who could consistently provide goals and pace but we didn't, we then go into this season yet again failing in recruitment and have people expecting 20 goals from Ayew and 20 assists from Bobby de Cordova-Reid... never gonna happen. Abit of a scapegoat, misunderstood player. Relief another big wage is gone through and hopefully we sign appropriate players for next season and going forward. 2 1 2

HankMarvin Posted 2 May Posted 2 May All this focus on Ayew, meanwhile the 25m flop for 5 years disappears into the sunset because he smiles and runs and much like his performances no one even really noticed 1

The Ayew hate is proper bandwagon stuff. Daka is up there with, if not top of the list of, worst strikers to ever represent the club. 1

He did what Ayew always does. We just never needed an Ayew, and have resented the fact that we were lumbered with one ever since. Understandably. Really good, balanced post, by the way.
