Popular Post Finnegan Posted 27 August 2024 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2024 Madders went to the SPL at his age. Didn't hurt him. Is a little bit underwhelming though to be honest yeah. Think we all wish he was closer to Championship ready than that. 14

LFEFox23 Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 Ideally would of been EFL but I'm happy with him just getting regular playing time with the big boys.
AjcW Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 They've had a solid start to the season after falling off late last year, they also have a partnership with Burnley so he'll likely be around other on loan youngsters/they'll have a good set up for managing that.
moore_94 Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 SPL is a great move for him I imagine loan interest for him in EFL probably would’ve been League One in which case the SPL is a much better choice 1
Safestandingfox Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 SPL can't be talked down when we were creaming over O'Riley from Celtic, Good move for the lad, good chance for him to show what he can do. 3 1
Iwebema Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 Aslong as he's playing it will be a great move for him.
Ric Flair Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 I'd envisaged a loan move to Birmingham or Blackpool but this is a decent test for him. Can see him doing very well. 2
Popular Post CosbehFox Posted 27 August 2024 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2024 I think it's a good move personally. They were the surprise package of SPL last season alongside St Mirren. He will have three derby fixtures plus the chance to play at a couple of 50k plus stadiums. 11
ian__marshall Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 Feels like a lazy loan move from the club. If he has aspirations of playing regular PL football the lad needs time in the Championship. Not sure why the club should be seeking guaranteed starts either, if he can't force his way into a championship midfield at the age of 20 based on his ability, the reality is he'll probably struggle to break into our side. Look at how many young players of a similar age are playing PL football at virtually every club in the league. Yes some are especially talented but like it or not that is the level he needs to get to if he wants to compete in this league so should be using this time to prepare himself for the step up, whether that be physically, mentally or both. 1
notnow john Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 It’s a great opportunity to play against a variety of opposition, some massive games some not so. My concern would be the plastic pitches . Although I’m not sure how many clubs still have them. Maybe @Muzzy_Larsson would help. Anyway best of luck Sam.

StanSP Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 Good move for him. Competitive football in a physical league. Hope he does well.
davieG Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 Anywhere where he's with guys playing for living where he experiences a professional dressing room winning and losing is way better than stagnating in the U21s. 2
Scotch Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 Maybe the club are worried about his physicality? A year in the SPFL getting kicked with the north sea winds tickling your bawsack will do the trick. 1

martyn Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 This is as good as a Championship loan move tbh. Some good players have come out of the non old firm clubs over the last few years. 1
Haywood_6 Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 That will do him some good, tough physical league as some have said. I'm pretty sure he will shine there. Good luck Sammy!
Marmite Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 According to the papers up there his nickname is 'The Leicester Iniesta' https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/5068938/sammy-braybrooke-dundee-leicester-city-loan-deal/

Only one in the SPL currently thankfully - Kilmarnock
