Will be the star man next season

He will piss the championship. If we get recruitment right, we could actually have a go at Reading's record.

He'll surely have a clause allowing him a loan move - loan fee + wages covered

The only way he won't have a close is if his wages don't decrease upon relegation. You can't have it both ways.

He doesn’t have any kind of relegation clause.

No chance. This squad doesn't have the guts to get a record like that. We'll get turned over at places like Milwall, Plymouth and Bristol City again.

It’ll be the making of him. He needs to add goals, has the technique but not the movement and timing yet.

Should be targeting 12+ goals and 15+ assists. Fatawu also needs to add more goals - ideally our next manager actually helps develop players rather than constrains them with a system-over-everything approach.

Agreed, it should give him the opportunity to grow and become the main man.

I worried we keep RVN.

They’ve made lots of dumb decisions but this will be the worst yet. If they do it’ll be yet another false economy option, oh we can’t spend another £5m on a managerial sacking so we’ll just throw away our best chance of promotion.

Rudkin recruiting will give us the same result again which would be more money wasted. He needs to go before any more decisions made

What stopped us from doing it last season was Enzo’s stubbornness!

Wouldn't have got near the record without a quality manager like Maresca.

Presume this is sarcasm!!

These players wont have the fight fo the Cchip- Under Enzo we had a few decent players and a manager who had a plan, no matter how boring it was at times.

Anyone with any know how will know there are deep rooted problems at this club and we wont bounce back this time straight up.

He’s become an expert in neat flicks and touches in Ruud’s team but his actual contribution is reducing and not enough to play him as the sole creative outlet in this side. It’s a crazy idea from RVN anyway that one creative player could carry a team loaded with 7 defensive minded players and 2 out and out finishers who have minimal contribution to general play (one of which in Daka might as well be playing for the opposition.) ELK needs other players to play off. If RVN is going to persist with this 3 at the back, Buonanotte should always start as the second ‘striker’ or failing him Mavididi. If Ricardo isn’t fit then play a wing back who dares go forward in Coulibaly. We’ll still lose but ffs we might actually score a goal and ELK’s neat flicks and touches might have some end product.

There were deep-rooted problems at the club the last time we got relegated. However, we used the in-built advantage that newly-relegated clubs have effectively, just as Burnley and Sheff Utd are doing this season.

For a club of our size, building a squad for promotion is much easier than building one for PL survival. Our summer transfer window was actually pretty good in 2023 because we had the resources to do what we needed to do. We have fewer sellable assets this time but we also likely have a smaller wage bill. If we’re reasonably smart in the transfer market, we will be in the top six next season, and possibly competing for the title. If we recruit a decent DoF and manager, our chances will improve even further.

Agree with most comments. He has dropped off massively in recent weeks.

A season in the championship will do him wonders. I personally don’t think he is a number 10. He’s an 8. Partner him with a DM like Ndidi and put Alves at number 10.

He's surrounded by absolute shite, its impossible for the lad, no movement. He is the only real outlet. Theres no runners, the wing backs dont go forward.

A year in the Championship would do him good, increase his physicality.

If he wants to play for us id keep him, but get rid of anyone who doesnt.
