The prices that Southampton, the second worst PL team in history, get for their duffers is mad!

I mean Lavia, Dibling, Livramento are hardly duffers...

Hasn't worked out for Ward-Prowse, though.

Still be plenty of drips who think its all a misunderstanding and BEK is the best thing since sliced bread.

I mean, im sure there was a saying about leopards and spots....should have anticipated this when he forced the move to us.

Personally I know i'm probably in a minority here, but whilst i understand the comparisons to Dibling, I genuinely think Diblings ceiling is far higher than Bilal, maybe not statistically but just from what i've seen of both players. I think £40m is too high for Dibling, but i'd pay more for him than BEK for sure. Imo he looks like a serious prospect and under Moyes he will improve massively, I think he will end up at an elite club.

Get what you can for any player who doesn't want to be here, Bilail, Winks, Faes- get whatever you can and get them OUT!

Is he doing a Mahrez and spitting his dummy out and throwing his toys out the pram because he didn't get his move!.

Usually you’ve gotta prove some pedigree first. He’s yet to even show it at championship level so we will see.

As long as we replace them, but 4 days to go out we don't look like getting any one in.

It doesn't look like promotion is the priority this year.

Comparing Bilal to Mahrez's situation  is like comparing Rachel Riley to Rachel Reeves in looks.

I was talking more about the players from the team that finished last season with 12 points (fernandes and Dibling).  How is it possible that a team so bad could have two £40m players in it?

My bad. I know we weren’t as bad but I guess you could say similar thing for us with Fatawu and El Khannouss. It is pretty mental though.

Its a team game.

Last season he was good in patches and showed decent potential.

This season he hasn't started as if he's a level above the championship. If he doesn't get his move I'd hope he can focus on getting his head down and being the player of the season. KDH had a similar attitude when we came down and almost felt single handedly responsible for getting us back up.

We need a similar attitude from him.

Yes.  A team that managed 12 points.   A team, literally not even half as good as our mob.  And yet I am to believe that they have two £40m gems lurking in there?

No.  I not having it.  Pants must have been pulled down somewhere.  Southampton are at least good at something, it seems.

I would say in the second half against Wednesday he was head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch. It’s clear he’s very talented, I don’t know how people can dispute it having watched him for a season here. He’s just playing in a wretched team is all. Expect he’ll get his move and go on to be a great player in the Premier League.

We nearly got relegated with Vardy and Mahrez in the team....

Mateus Fernandes is probably the more adequate comparison to Bilal rather than Dibling who is more of a winger and will obviously have English-tax

Southampton have got £38m + £3m for Fernandes

Dont get the hate for Bilal, he's far too good for the Championship and of course wants to be pushing into the Premier League. If he goes I hope we get a good price for him, if it doesn't go in this window then lets hope he does his talking on the pitch.

I really dislike the transfer window still being open 4 league games and 1-2 League cup games into the season.

If we play him and he has a great game tonight; rips Birmingham to shreds. One of the Prem teams will take him.

If we don't play him we 'protect' him and ourselves from the above.

I think the club have been shrewd here (hard to imagine). We've sold enough to keep him and Fatawu. "We want to keep our best players". And the 'protect' line is a perfect excuse for not playing him.

In a few weeks we'll be over the moon if we've kept Fatawu, Bilal, Mavididi and Monga. These 4 will help us be Prem ready should we return.

We need the window to close. Then we can build team identity. At the moment there is too much transfer drama.
