They’re both a poor transfer window or two from collapsing like we did. And with those gates could go back where they belong.

The attendance makes very little difference compared to say ours, let's be honest.

For all the great qualities ELK has, he’s absolutely no replacement for Mbuemo. Goals and assists are just not comparable.

It would be great to see what numbers Bilal can produce with a midfield that passes the ball forwards, attackers that run into space and can hit the target.

We missed KDH, Bilal was doing a lot of the graft that he provided and was then expected to produce at the end of it.

He will do well in a team that isn’t full of donkeys.

Are you saying the team he came from were donkeys too? His goal and assist stats weren’t great there either.

His output at Genk in a team challenging at the top of their division in an inferior league wasn't massively prolific. He's one that it will be hoped will significantly improve their end product in the next few years.

Actually think a season in the championship for us would be good for his development, and hopefully prove he’s got the end product as well to help him seal a bigger move next summer whether we go up or not if he’s one of the stand out players in the champ.

I think he'll end up getting those minutes, for development or not, in the PL.

He's good enough for a mid-table side that attacks well and does it frequently. I can see him slotting in at a club like Brighton, Brentford, Palace etc. Sides that flourished last season with good wingers and reliable attackers, and where those forwards see a lot of the ball and create a lot of opportunities.

True, just feel a year tearing up the championship and he could get a move to a bigger than mid table club like a Newcastle/ Spurs/ Villa etc

Depends to an extent whether we have to sell or not

Summerville tore up the championship then went missing for a whole season. Players learn more in more difficult environment, if anything dropping a level below results in players stagnating.

Rutter smashed it in the championship and has done very well for Brighton this season

I know he hasn't played at Chelsea but I think KDH became a more rounded player after a season in the Champ too and got a big move..

Rutter had a similar level season to the one he just had with Brighton the year before he joined Leeds with Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

There's little evidence that he's a better player than he was 3 years ago, the championship is only good for developing players who arent already used to a higher level.

Many of their fans were making comparisons in terms of his profile to Modric, which I can kind of see. Best position is definitely as an '8' as he's got such a good engine and willingness to get stuck in, feels a bit of a waste to play him as a 10.

If he's here next year, would like to see him in that role especially considering we could have actually have loads of good options in the other roles he plays.

I could easily see a side offering £25m plus adds on.

If no relegation clause can't see that being enough

Our best bet is to get in a manager that'll inspire him to stay and help get us back up. Blow smoke up his arse, by telling him 'we're going to build the team around you'. Maybe even bring in a friend in the game, to help him further settle in to life here.

Win, win in that case. I'd be disappointed to see us sell him below value (£30m?) and he'll be worth 4-5 league places to us this season. I'd be happy keeping him or getting £40m!

He's young and one of a handful of players that didn't completely stain their reputation last season.

If he wants to stay great, if a good offer comes in fair enough, let him go. Like fook are we in a position to demand £40 million for him though, I'd be happy if we got half that as a Championship club. Spurs paid that for Madders and that was a knock-down price - he is not on that level. lol
