I don’t want us to get relegated but I can’t see how anyone enjoys this league more than the championship.

The PL is the same as any league, if you're not winning it's not fun.

Thankfully we had a season in the Championship where we had the best squad, resources and facilities. But if you're in the Championship and not winning it is not fun.

I still think we're going down. We've been very fortunate.

Everton have been fortunate for about 5 years... it happens...

I think even with Cooper we stay up.

I think we’ve been lucky so many times this season and it had to run out. There’s no signs of any improvement and eventually these moments will turn against us.

I think a change of manager in our current position would pull us comfortably to mid table.

That opinion changes when your losing in the championship

True, although it was fun battering everyone…. I also enjoyed non corporate clubs and no VAR….

The championship somehow feels more like football / more authentic (if that makes sense?)

Graphic of Nottingham Forest's next 10 games difficulty

On paper alongside Everton we have a tough next 10 fixtures we will be lucky to accrue at least 4-5 points from those games imo with Cooper in charge. I do feel we will have a new manager in charge by the international break.

We didn't even make it to 100 points last season!

If we achieve another 10 points from the next 10 fixtures I think we stay up comfortably.

However, I do think we've had a nice set of fixtures so far and I fear we will find points harder to come by going forward.

I'd of taken 10points from the first 10 and no point deductions at the start of the season.

Forgot about the no-points deduction.

Can't really believe no punishment was received, but obviously it seems that the club didn't do much wrong.

Everton have been fortunate for about the last 30 years. Apart from a couple of decent seasons under Moyes they should have gone down in several seasons. I still can’t believe they survived that Wimbledon game in maybe 94/95 when everything went their way in the last 10 minutes of both their game and I think it was Sheff Utds game and they went down .
The Wombles missed a handful of easy chances too that day.

Am I sorry Wymsey, what you mean here? The independent board agreed that we’d broken the rules by £20 million plus. Club very much did something wrong but there was a flaw in the Premier League’s rules

Get Mads a bullet-proof vest, he's going to get peppered in goal.

I think we'll eventually replace Cooper, spend a bit in Jan and rally in the run in. Next few months could be tricky.

West Ham and Wolves are looking like must win games given the next 10 fixtures.

Hopefully we can catch Brentford and Brighton on a bad day:brendan:

I voted yea because even thought we’ve been really poor all season we somehow are where we are! Surely the team will improve as the season goes on!

It's more than likely a quirk of the fixtures, but.

Pre-point deduction outcome form: 3 games DLL, 1 POINTS an average of 0.33 ppg.

Post: 7 games DDLWWLD 9 POINTS - an average of 1.29 ppg.

The key question is whether the current performances will be enough throughout the season, but this is probably how it's going to be under Cooper. Style of play and identity is obviously unclear at the moment but ultimately results are more important and we've managed to put ourselves in a reasonable position. I'm yet to be convinced some of the players are fully behind Cooper, and a few tentative rumours have suggested this, but it's also fair to say we look to be in with a fighting chance of staying up so far.

That’s very interesting.

10 points from 10 games has been great, on the face of it, but we’ve only played 2 games against the Big 6, meaning 10 of the next 28 are against them. And 5 of the other 18 are against Newcastle, Brighton & Villa.

I don’t see too many points coming from those 15 fixtures, and if we perform as we have done this far in the remaining 13 fixtures, we’ll be relegated.

From these next 10 games how many points do you think could save Cooper his job?

I think if he gets 7 points we can almost guarantee that he won't be going anywhere.

Anything less than 3 points he probably is in serious danger?

I think we will get 4 or 5 points - which in my opinion means he will stay.
