It's a truly significant nail in the coffin although (as usual) Cooper wasn't using him correctly in any case but I can't help thinking of writing off the season (certainly whilst this bozo's in charge) and coming back next year

Genuinely wonder if that's the last we see of him in a city shirt then. If we go down, even with a big injury someone would aat least match what we paid for him.

Gutted for the lad though. Genuinely thought he'd be one of those to slowly get used to thr league and then blitz it from February onwards. Best of luck with your recovery Abdul

Fvk me never thought it was this bad i was just manifesting a slight key hole surgery.

Buonanotte needs to get comfortable on the right and bilal needs to step it up and take the opportunity centrally. May the footballing gods be with us during this tough period.

Just as well our recruitment was excellent in the summer and we have proper depth to mitigate for such an injury isn’t it…

We've got 5 senior centre midfielders for 2 spots though so that's good.

I don't see why anyone would take that risk. It's not like he's lit the Premier League up in fairness.

Yep, especially with him still being unproven. Not many, if any clubs would be willing to take a chance on someone that we’d commend a high fee for after being out for the Season.

I think the one positive, and I'm clutching at straws and scraping the barrell admittedly, is that we will now see exactly what the intentions of the club are in January.

If they use this as a reason to throw money at it and try and stay up then we might end up stronger than we would have done without the injury. If they don't do much about it then we know they never really expected to stay up anyway.

Probably the latter. But we can live in hope.
