Always mean to ask you where you are. I spend a bit of time in Pen y Cymoedd region.

Live in Cardiff now but from Cwmtillery which has sadly been on and in the news for the coal tip slide. Friends there affected by it. Where do you go?

This morning RVN was 3/1 alongside Potter. Now he's 7/2, so his odds have actually drifted slightly in the past few hours.

If the shortest odds available are 7/2, that tells you nobody has a scoobie.

Well, his odds are 7/2 with a couple of bookies, to the point where he's not even favourite.

Pretty bizarre spread on him, down as low as 1/2 with Bet 365. Presumably the result of relatively tiny market.

Fine we won't bother. Send us Cuesta instead.

Lots of good talk surrounding him. Apparantly, he's tactically very astute and gets on well with the players. Probably early doors for him to get into management though. Props for having heard about him.

The bookies allmovervthe shop... butvremenver thus refers the iduisy of their punters rather than the absolute probability.

I think Corberan impressed everyone when his WBA side had that long spell at our place where we just couldn't get the ball of them and hung on for dear life. Hamzas hair saved four certain goals and it was a pivotal day in our eventual promotion, it very nearly went the other way and for a load of big physical units the WBA side moved the ball around very well, tough and fluent, admirable considering resources.

He did very well at Huddersfield too, probably the best one they've had since Wagner. Got them into the playoffs.

Props for having heard about him.

Mate there's about ten thousand articles in the football space about how he's essentially the next Enzo Maresca.

I don't think he's quite the secret you think he is.

Looks like you sobered up over the course of writing this post.

For me from the leading names:

Moyes - Absolutely not and get him off the list now. West Ham fans in my family hated him with a passion. Hes not a safe pair of hands and is as sackable (and has been sacked) like any other candidate. Doesn't need this job and i want someone who needs to succeed. Get relegated, Moyes immediately gets put forward for any other PL jobs.

Potter - Not anymore. Would have taken him in the summer. Would rather be employing someone who wants to work.  Always remember those barren spells with Brighton where they couldn't score and just drew every game.

Carrick - I'm interested. Time at Middlesborough worries me in that he could set up a team to beat us one week (and look good), then they would lose several on the bounce to dross. Think he will go and have a good PL managerial career, but is he ready for us right now?

Corberran - Oddly, not up for this during the season and would rather give someone like him preseason and a summer transfer window. West Brom not firing at the moment, and i feel appointing now is risky. I don't think he has a huge reputation with Players so he would need time to earn it (which i am sure he would). I don't think you get a bounce from this guy but he will come good after a few months.

RVN - I'm up for this, and think it will work. Been coaching for a long time and will command the respect of the players. PSV experience has to work in his favour.

Lets get RVN done folks, and go buy some black turtlenecks to celebrate.

Were also very organised at the back when we played them

There seems to be a worry that if RVN succeeds, then he will be straight off to a better club (like Enzo). Right now, i say lets embrace that and get the next candidates ready like Brighton do, rather than thinking a manager will be here for 5 years. I want someone here who really wants to succeed, which RVN will need.

Or you make the release clause so high to put Clubs off. If he really wants the job he'll take it.

He's a risk but I think it's one worth taking given the prestige he'd bring to the Club. He's been Coaching for 10 years now and worked with some of the best, So he must have learned a lot.

Imagine him and Vardy Coaching the young Strikers coming through.

Cuesta is going to blow up when he goes his own way. Think we’d be a bit too much of a baptism of fire though to say the least lol I’d be all over him if we’re back in the championship by June mind.

Depends what Top's priority is I guess. Moyes would be a safe option and would no doubt steady the ship and do enough to keep us up. Somebody like RVN would be seen as an ambitious signing, with potential massive progress over the next few seasons. But he is also a somewhat unknown entity and definitely a more risky signing. I'm not opposed to either right now. Anything beats Cooper.
