Someone actually mentioned in here that top has supposedly sought advice from a former manager. Lines up despite being a poor source.

Pearson as DOF would be a brilliant appointment. He knows the club well but more importantly he  has a proven record of building Clubs from the ground up.

Has the contacts within the game to work through finding the right people to fill the right jobs as we continue to move forward.

Lets get it sone.

Cooper was sacked after 12 games when we were out of the relegation zone. Getting rid of him was 100% the right decision, but if we go down at the end of the season it won't be on him.

I think also his embarrassing post match interviews probably didn’t sit well with Top for blaming the ref the officials the team & not taking any ownership of his astute failures ?

Heard from a reliable source within the club that it's Van Nistelrooy.

Full coaching staff coming in, possibly some with Utd links.

Should be announced tomorrow/thurs, one session with the squad then Brentford.

Were rumours after the United games about him possibly coming here.

Is this the old united coaches who did nothing for the last 3 years?

or ex players

I looked at him last season as his numbers were insane. Think the consensus is he's got a few imitations such as a lack of pace that might prevent him playing at the very highest level. I'll look again.

He looks a good player and would fit the profile of players we should target in the January transfer window, if indeed RVN is our new manager.

Might be one or two, but it's more likely to be some of those involved in the PSV academy years ago when he was there.

Was that reply meant for me ha? Cause I'm agreeing with you.

Disappointed if it's RvN, was bottom of my list of potential new managers. However, it's more interesting than keeping Cooper.

Happy to be proven wrong, but we need tried and trusted for a couple of seasons, Moyes for me was the safest gamble.

He's a shit manager.

Who, Cooper? Probably, but you can't blame people for what you think might have happened in the future. It's not minority report! 😄 🤣

Interesting quotes recently written about Ruud:

"On that note, Van Nistelrooy knows what he wants and doesn't stand for anything less. When he resigned suddenly as PSV boss in 2023, the reason given was a perceived lack of support from the club. Although it was too late for him, they must have listened because just a year passed – one big sale and a few signings later – before PSV had gone from finishing seven points adrift of Feyenoord to finishing seven points ahead and claiming the Eredivisie title for the first time in six seasons."

After cutting his coaching teeth with juniors and reserves, Van Nistelrooy was in charge of PSV's first-team for one year. In that sole season, he delivered the Johan Cruyff Shield – effectively the Dutch super cup – by beating Arne Slot's league champion Feyenoord team, and the KNVB Cup. PSV reached the knockout rounds of the Europa League during the campaign too."

Working his way through PSV's Under-17, Under-19 and reserve sides, Van Nistelrooy has gathered plenty of experience of working with and developing young talent. The list of young first-team players he furthered during his sole season as PSV head coach alone is substantial. Xavi Simons enjoyed a breakout campaign of epic proportion that prompted Paris Saint-Germain to trigger their buyback clause, while Van Nistelrooy oversaw Jarrad Branthwaite's first meaningful season of top flight first-team football. Johan Bakayoko, Noni Madueke and even Cody Gakpo are others who have benefitted from his guidance.

I suppose it was really a reply to daddlylonglegs but I ended up responding to your reply to him. I understood & agree with your point.

Corberan, meanwhile, was a candidate last summer and was viewed back then as a strong stylistic fit. Leicester felt he would be able to build on Maresca's system and a new approach has not been ruled out.”

So why didn’t we just go for Corberan in the summer then? 🙄

Can't link it from where I am but a couple of years ago Gary Neville went to PSV to interview Ruud Van Nistelrooy. It'll be on Youtube and it's worth a watch if he's to become our manager. Came across really well on it.
