Yes.  But say it quietly around here because lots of people are expecting exciting, free flowing, progressive football.

Brighton regularly underperformed their xG under Potter. It wasn't that they couldn't create chances, it's that they didn't take them. At the start of this season we were outperforming our xG, so there could be a bit of balance restored there.

Lee  Carsley ?   RVN is a risk , I think Potter for me could be right time for him

Anyone suggesting carsley should receive a lifetime ban from anything involving football.

He couldn't get Chelsea to score either, averaged a goal a game

I think at one point they had the highest XG in the leauge but weren't scoring becuse they had Neal Maupay on the end of all their chances

But then you've got to ask yourself- why is the muppet playing Neal Maupay in the first place?

I’ve heard Bobby De Cordova Reed mentioned him. As did Wout Faes.

IIRC Welbeck was injured a lot that season, only other option was Aaron Connolly :dunno:

It's evident that the players need someone who listens to them.

Could deffo do with somebody with a bit of pedigree and a reputation.

Love reading all the various fans/pundits comment on how harsh we’ve been. Definite case of the strength of people’s opinion being inversely proportional to their knowledge on a topic!

Shhhhhh that doesn’t suit that lazy narrative that comes up every time potter is discussed.

We love an ex Swansea manager don't we?

I'm definitely a yes for Potter. I just hope we get him this time, because if I get home from work to find out we've approached Southampton for Russell Martin then I'm going to kill myself.

Sold on Potter now. Wasn’t sure about him, will be devastated now if we don’t get him. Haha we won’t either, it’s going  to Moyes isn’t it.

Why so, He has a proven pedigree of working and developing young players and has done ok with the England job.

He'd cost less than others and would come with no baggage.

We're in the top tier and he's an undeniable risk. He may well turn out to be a great manager but let someone in the Skybet take the plunge first.

Steve Cooper has exactly the same credentials.

Carsley (or indeed Copper) would be good appointments in the summer before a Championship season. Not so much halfway through a Prem season that's started badly.

Don’t want Moyes but think he’d keep us up. Potter I really can’t make my mind up about, he could be great he could be a mirage. Would rather have him over Moyes but could see him turning out shit. RVN hasn’t done anything of note. I’d really love us to go left field (Jimmy Thelin, etc) but I think the club will probably play it safe.
