It feels like we're still going through the gears when it comes to the ineptness on show at LCFC. Like even as little as two years ago I think he'd be out of the door by now. It's like nobody at the club can even be arsed.

lol thank you for bringing this to my attention, hilarious! Remind me to never visit that site every again.

That is the worst thing I've ever read. He has some nerve, but also he's been unfairly left in the dark by management that won't speak to him lol

It would've been different had he not picked Ward against Wolves, I have absolutely no doubt about that.

We may well have still been relegated with a number of games to spare, but he lost thousands of fans support that day and never came close to winning it back.

Has he gone yet?

I can just imagine FoxesTalkers watching socials intensely to be the first to break the news. Who will win the race?

I wonder if the issue is RVN refusing to go quietly with an NDA?  His reputation as a coach is rock bottom here and one of the few things he can cling to is being lied to when taking the role. He could have said I need this this and this to make it work and was told he’d get that. KP are bound to want to save face but so is he. Are they in stalemate ?

How long is his contract?

2.5 years, **** knows why. It’s like they will issue a 3 year one to Martin. Why not say, if you are good we will extend after you win promotion or whatever.

You know I was thinking the other day where has @Miquel The Work Geordie gone (last seen 3rd Feb... :().... absolutely reeeeeks of @Phil Mitchell lollol

Surely everyone’s realised this for months? lol

But in true Eastenders fashion, I’m willing to wait until Christmas Day for the big reveal

It’s getting a bit disrespectful to hold onto him like this. Seems very odd that it wouldn’t have been announced that he’s gone already.

We can’t keep him in the role until we make a decision that will be months and is just an all round odd move

I get a mental picture of Top and Rudkin hiding behind the chesterfield when Van Rooney bangs on his office door demanding to talk!

The capt. Mainwaring of directors whispering " dont say anything and he'll go away" and the stupid boy nodding. 🤣🤣

  • I would have expected an announcement soon after the season end about RVN’s future. The deathly silence suggests he’s leaving. Speculating it could be they’re struggling to reach a compromise on his termination payment or they are waiting to end of June because of PSR or more likely waiting for Top to get his ass over to the UK so he can make a decision. The way the club is being run these days defies belief.

If him or Martin are in charge on day one next season, it shows that thr club has absolutely no standards. If they don't give a shit, they can't expect the fans to.

It looks more probable than not that he's going, but the silence thus far tells us two things.

1) Contrary to press reports, his replacement is not finalised. This suggests a number of scenarios. Firstly, that the preferred candidate is currently employed elsewhere and there needs to be some negotiation. If it were an unemployed boss, talks could have already taken place with the manager directly and the choreography of incumbent in and replacement out could be made as seamless as possible - likely on the same day or within 24 hours. Secondly, that we could be waiting for two crucial financial deadlines. The first of those is the transfer of shares at the Premier League AGM on 6th June where we officially become a Championship club and compensation packages change as a result. The second is whenever the accounting date is in relation to PSR windows; this could be either May 30th or June 30th, neither of which are here yet.

2) Related to the end of the first, and that's RVN's severance package. If we have moved accounting dates to May 30th, you may hear that we have parted company on Monday. This would mean that we haven't had two severance packages in the same window with Cooper and RVN and serve to alleviate any potential difficulties. If we hear before Monday, that may suggest that our accounting period will wnd on June 30th again and that RVN is placed on gardening leave until July 1st, or that his severance package is structured over time to spread the costs in a manner similar to what happened with Potter at Chelsea. This might take some negotiating if RVN is keen to jump straight back into management as Potter's deal with Chelsea meant that he had to have a fairly sizeable wait time before taking his new job.

All of the above could mean that we hear RVN leaves and Martin is appointed on the same day at the end of this week or beginning of next, but the fact that no source close to the club is reporting RVN's imminent departure, let alone an agreement with his replacement, suggests that probably isn't the case. What I suspect is more likely that the club has an interest in someone currently in post and are negotiating with both RVN and his proposed replacement's club for permission to speak. As shown with Schalke and Muslic, we are currently entering that time for other clubs.

My hot take is that if we haven't heard definitively by this time next week, then the club want Röhl and will formally move after June 6th when we are officially a Championship club and the compensation package to Sheffield Wednesday is halved.
