Russell Martin 100% has been spoken too 😂

Hopefully it was in a headteacher/parental kinda way? As in, “stop being such an arrogant dick, get a haircut and find a t-shirt that fits” kinda way??

I imagine more like the “I want to be Man City” way.

Unsure if I believe the rhetoric that's being put out that Ruud doesn't know his future. I'd be confident in thinking it has all been sorted for him to leave, but they've not announced anything for him to save face

Surely this timing says it’s less out of respect and more a relegation release clause in his contract. Sorry I mean hopefully not surely!

Key wording here is “Leicester yet to decide who they want to replace him.”

Fans NEED to be heard at Bournemouth in regards to not having Russell Martin anywhere near the club.

Didn't the club back down from appointing Jesse Marsch because of the negative reaction from the fans? I know he claims he was offered it and turned it down, but I remember reports at the time suggesting the club got cold feet when it saw the reaction on social media...

You're being played mate. They've thrown Rohl out there to try and quell the disdain for Martin but we all know who the club are going with!

People power. It can be done. It's in our hands.

Yeah, we all believe that don’t we.

We are a very secretive club. I think this is doing 1+1 and getting 3. I personally doubt any negative reaction factored into any decisions and was just used by reporters who know very little to juice the story up a little.

If Top wants Martin (and lets be honest, Top has form with this sort of appointment), then a few of us calling him Brussel isn't going to change his mind.

I think the very fact this is now starting to leak out means we have already agreed everything in principle with our 1st choice, and it’s just a case of letting Sunday play out, announce Ruud has left and then I think the new man will formally be in place ready to go within the week.

This is more about PR, it’s not a good look to have a new manager announced whilst the current incumbent is still formally in the role.

Not at this club, they don't care what the fans think. Look howe they have treated us on occasions over the last few seasons in particular.

The issue is, it’s all good and well fans singing they don’t want Martin, but then when the club announce Ruud they will hate them too, I think we should split the fanbase up into 32 sections in the away end and each section gets 3 minutes to sing their preferred candidates name, this would be not only fair but would give Rudkin a chance to write down 32 new names that he’s never heard of.

"Rohl, Rohl, Rohl's the bloke

To lead our football team

Steadily, steadily, steadily, steadily,

Climb up the Football League"

While it is thought contact has been made with Martin's representatives, there have been no formal discussions with Leicester's bosses over the details of any deal.

Rohl has a buy-out clause at Hillsborough which is thought to reduce by 50 per cent if a Championship club wishes to employ him rather than a Premier League club.

Is now a bad time to say Rohl has concerned me a bit recently with his behaviour? lol
For context, Wednesday's form has collapsed in the last few months, that happens especially when you're working on a shoestring and players have has periods where they haven't been paid, so I can somewhat accept a bad run of form with the clown show that is Chansiri.

However, Rohl is clearly trying to force his way out at the moment, he's given multiple interviews abroad essentially confirming he's off, and actively talking about speculation with bigger clubs.
Don't get me wrong, I'd still want Rohl however his recent behaviour has come as a bit of a shock to Wednesday fans, it just depends whether it can be justified, given how Chansiri runs Wednesday and his recent antics, it could be that more has gone on behind the scenes that we don't know about and Rohl is desperately trying to get out for his own career, Chansiri will drag him down if he doesn't get out, but I'm quite surprised/concerned by how he's done it.

Is Rohl the absolute best we can do? Right now I'm not too sure. If the ink hasn't touched paper yet i'd still go for Will Still at the eleventh hour, I didn't expect him to drop to the championship so didn't consider him.

I agree that Rohl has behaved badly especially with the hints and interviews! If he came to us we would all love it joke and laugh about it but a leopard doesn’t change their spots and soon as a bigger club comes in for him he would do the exact same thing to us. But yeah agree I’d take Rohl 😂😂😂

I'm just desperately hoping that if we do get him this recent behaviour has come from survival instinct with the way Chansiri is running the club because my impression is Wednesday fans are quite shocked by how he's behaved over the last couple of months.

To be fair to Rohl, it's been up in the air all season whether he gets paid on pay day or not..... that would make me pretty loose on loyalty!
