How is Danny Ward a professional footballer?

As soon as i saw that line up I wanted to go home.

Truly awful

At this point there needs to be criticism of those who select him. Hopefully Ruud has learnt and will act when others persisted with him for far too long. Honestly put Filbert Fox in goal over him.

The worst result of the season. We’ve played badly many times this year. However this was against a direct rival. Very few teams recover from that. We’ve also given them a huge confidence. It’s over in December this time. Not a chance we come back from that.

Normally when you get promoted you strengthen the squad to be able to compete at the higher level.

Our hideous summer recruitment (granted, with the points deduction hanging over us) has left us in this perilous position.

Anyone who watches other Premier League teams can see that we are woefully substandard in practically every department (apart from in goal when Hermansen plays).

Unless we sign a handful of jewels in January (highly unlikely) I see no hope of us staying up.

The wretched quality of our current squad is best summed up by the fact that Justin has  been consistently our worst player this season - possibly the worst player in the entire division when you look at all the goals conceded from his position - yet he continually gets picked every week. Yes, Ricardo is injured, but even so…

And to pick Ward above anyone is, as we know, a dereliction of duty or (in Rodgers’ case) deliberate sabotage.

I honestly can’t remember being so pissed off after game in a long time.

4-3 vs Wolves 2003 I think? Being 3-0 up at half time

I can’t believe that Rudd could select that team , they were dreadful, we don’t know how to go forward , there 1st movement is to go backwards or sideways even if there is no one in front of them .
I think the team is really missing NIDIDI , as for the manager I really thought he could help our club , maybe he can only succeed with much better players .
get ready for the championship

Did a 230 mile round trip and feel the same. Even my boys are losing interest. I sold our tickets for the Man City game next week on the resale platform straight after the game today, as I couldn't face another trip to see rubbish like that. I've been a fan for over 45 years, and I think that "performance" must rank in the top 5 worst performances I've seen in that time. Just awful. Wolves were little better tbh, but then they didn't need to be to beat us. Relegation is a certainty, I fear. At least we've beaten Derby's record low points tally.

I also thought the officials were poor again, but that's just the standard these days poor boarding on useless. He was inconsistent, failed to book a few Wolves players, yet books ours for less. One player had 3 attempts at arguing with the ref, yet still not booked.

Disgraceful and unacceptable

and that was just how I felt when I saw the team news

Sorry but Ward needs his contract terminating and if RVN picks him again he needs sacking on the spot

unacceptable result and you might aswell relegate us now if Ward is picked again

Hallelujah …. A silver lining. Hopefully the start of much more

Been a big fan of Ayew but he just can not start and any idea of starting him inevitably ends with the full back on that side being doubled on whilst he ambles around, just not up to scratch…. Ward was the only worst player on the pitch than him whilst it was still a game… Also Skipp was diabolical as was Stephy

Some observations from me; as well as the embarrassing performance from Ward, Anthony Taylor was poor first half as well and had eyes only for Wolves, he was conned too readily by the clutching of the shin and rolling around and awarding of cheap free kicks to them.

You would hope that Vardy takes one of this two first half chances.

I can’t believe we paid £25 million for Skipp either, games seem to pass him by and he adds nothing physically. Ayew is horribly off the pace when he starts a match and should only be used off the bench.

Soumare did try his best but was at fault for not tracking Cunha. He even beat himself in the second half with a step over that set up a Wolves counter attack

Vestergaard and a Coady weren’t physical enough for the first goal either from a straight chipped ball from their defence. I would expect Vestergaard to win that challenge and also Coady to get across and block the shot!

Half arsed mediocrity on Hollywood wages!

VK

Ndidi

Soumare

Buonanotte

Bilal El K

on their day:
Vardy

Daka

Mavididi

Winks

That’s our prem quality in the 11, sign new players around it and make it work

In the first 5 mins, we win the ball high up and bilal first instinct was to turn back to safer and lay a n easy ball back rather than drive at the wolves  defence.

it sets the tone..

I thought we were ultra defensive also against Brighton and got out of jail..

a must win gave v wolves and we pick a safe 11…. Buonantte who has been a shining light so far this season should be starting before ayew, bilal and mavididi..

we have nothing about us, no drive, passion, desire, will to win that should be within a footballer at any level..

it’s worrying that after 3/4 RVN games in charge that we don’t seem to press, harass the opposition… we’re sitting ducks..

it’s a tough watch, over the next 3 games we’re going to fall into the bottom 3 and it’s where we are going to stay for the remainder of the season imo..
