Exactly! Per my combined squad thought above, genuinely, outside of the 4 youth players we have in the squad this season, who from this squad is getting into the one from 2008/09? None!

 

Expensive and on high wages does not equate to being better. I think that’s what many of our fans struggle with.

Would these fvckwits be claiming with a little more time Top would have done better?

Fryatt 27 goals with Howard bagging 13.

 

Howard's 13 goals might look a bit meh, but scoring wasn't his job. He was there to muscle players around and nod things down so that others could score. 14 assists, making him the top provider. Very underrated by many fans.

 

Would love a Steve Howard type player now.

 

Lloyd Dyer also had 19 goal involvements, 10 goals and 9 assists. Don't think I'd choose any of our current squad over that one.

Hard to believe we'll have a single player score/contribute anything like those numbers this season

I don't think it's understating it to say that that team would wipe the floor with the current lot but I do still expect us to be towards to top of the league.

 

I think goals will be very spread out. I can't see one player getting 20-25 goals. Would be nice though.

Joseph/Aluko a right back as Gilbert was ok but not necessarily more talented than Joseph and Aluko. 
 

Braybrooke is unfortunate if we are comparing as we had King, Oakley, Davies and Cleverley which was quite a central midfield 4 to choose from looking back. 
 

Alves would have competition from Gradel and Dyer but would be in and around. 
 

But other than that, absolutely. Unless Bristvic turns out to be a beast to rival Fryatt or Howard!

The sad thing is that squad was formed on the back of 3 finishes near the bottom of the champ before relegation 

 

This one was Prem twice one championship promotion

Can we organise some serious anti top chanting?

He has been made to look a fool. Rudkin has pulled his pants down.

Anthony is the fan dis'engagement manager... his pr has exposed top to ridicule.

I think the finances are now out of tops hands.... what a jerk
