If Mavididi doesn’t do the step overs and just goes direct at the end, it’s different. 
 

Doing step overs slows you down. 
 

Messi doesn’t do step overs as they’re not required to beat people. I wish we’d teach players this as it’s pointless. Drive into the space.

Afraid Gakpo shows the quality Liverpool have and we don't. But let's face it, 1-1 better than any of us expected as a half time score.

Not a bad first half we could have been at least 6 down but we’ve played & defended bloody well, thought Mavadidi could have passed the ball earlier at times and we could have been more aggressive but all in all 1-1 at half time I’ll take that !
