We desperately need someone in the middle of the park who can be even remotely decent at winning the ball back and can stay switched on for more than 15 minutes.

 

Dewsbury-Hall was / is streets ahead of any of the possible options we have there at the moment. The defence is shite but our midfield pairing is never where you want them to be.

That was a gutless and clueless performance on every level. Not sure where we go from here, apart from down of course. There's no point in trying to spend money to stay up as we're down anyway and we won't be able to attract any players who are better than those we already have. Need to start planning for next season in the Champo.

So where are we now? We know we don't have money to spend, we KNOW the team is bad, so the ONLY way we survive, is if Ruud can make the players we have play better. 
So when and how? And if he can't improve us to do the very basics, how can we believe he will bring us back up when we inevitably go down? He's failed to bring any sort of siege mentality to this relegation fight, nobody cares. 
These are some of the worst subs I've ever seen. 
Yes we have technically improved but have been hit with poor mistakes from the defence and poor finishing from the attackers, but have we REALLY improved that much from Cooper ball? Have we improved enough to justify going down with a whimper? 

I honestly feel awful, because, and I'll say it again, Ruud is one of my favourite players ever, and I really want him to get this right, but this is just awful, the subs are just completely tone-deaf, and completely bizarre, in interviews he gives absolutely zero hope and just comes across as monotone, I actually feel guilty for feeling how I do about his management skills because I've spent the best part of 20 years loving the man because of his career as a player. 

Someone, anyone, please reply to this and give me a decent justification why we should continue without saying "our team is bad" or "XYZ injuries" they are completely justified points, but beyond that what has significantly improved to justify getting relegated lying down like this?
At some point, Ruud is either going to need to improve the majority of these players to keep us in the league, or get us back up next season.

Before RVN, we looked like a good mid table side not winning as much as we should have (individual mistakes costed us quite a few points). But fans wanted Cooper gone, and encouraged a toxic atmosphere. With FFP, we had to be careful what we wished for. 

 

When we were around 16, I thought we can do better hence I admit to having some frustration in my mind.

 

But now we just look like a clueless Championship side.

Time to point out that one person being crap doesn’t make someone else good, because that doesn’t seem clear to some people.

Almost no one can come out of today with any credit.

 

Yes Kristiansen was at fault for the 2nd, but Justin is still awful.

 

Yes Vardy, Mavididi and Buonanotte were shocking - so is Ayew (except he’s a pointless player even on a good day and that’s the point).

 

Yes, Cooper was a terrible appointment. And yes, Rudkin and Top are mostly to blame for this predicament - but clearly Ruud is completely the wrong man for this job.

 

We start games poorly with no game plan or attacking threat and his subs today were unacceptable. Losing 7 in a row. 
 

Regardless of everything else, Ruud isn’t getting anything out of the players. If we won’t roll the dice in the transfer market, we need to do it with a new manager. A professional football club, with the money they are all on, can’t just accept relegation and give up (even if I have).

Disgraceful performance. RVN was a terrible appointment. Useless lineup, useless subs, useless coaching. We are far too happy just tossing around in our own half. We look two leagues below premier league. Barely a shot had yet again. Zero meaningful threat going forward. Awful. Players should be ashamed.
